Abstract

Kesamarataan sosial terjadi karena ragam respon dari interaksi sosial antar individu. Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, interaksi sosial kurang dipertimbangkan karena diyakini menjadi pendukung atau alternatif dari interaksi lainnya. Lingkungan pasar khususnya pasar tradisional dapat menjadi contoh sebagai lingkungan yang dapat memaksimalkan kesamarataan sosial. Maka, untuk mendukung tujuan tersebut diperlukan sebuah inovasi perancangan pasar yang Tesis perancangan ini bertujuan untuk merespon permasalahan perancangan pasar yang memiliki nilai kesamarataan sosial dengan pendekatan arsitektur inklusif. Perancangan ini menggunakan beberapa tahapan perancangan antara lain, menemukan dan merumuskan permasalahan umum menjadi permasalahan khusus, dan merespon permasalahan dengan menerapkan prinsip-prinsip perancangan inklusif ke dalam aspek dan elemen arsitektural. Definisi pasar tradisional dan modern, prinsip ruang sosial dan teori perancangan inklusif dipelajari dengan menggunakan studi pustaka dan studi preseden. Hasil analisis studi tersebut digunakan untuk menentukan kriteria dan konsep perancangan pasar untuk merespon ragam kebutuhan pengguna bangunan pasar berbasis lingkungan inklusif. Hasil rancangan pertama, untuk merespon keragaman kegiatan jual beli di pasar tradisional dengan menghadirkan kualitas bentuk dan ruang berkonsep desain inklusif. Rancangan memberikan berbagai fasilitas jual beli yang menampung ragam kesamarataan interaksi sosial. Perancangan ruang dan bentuk pada bangunan pasar dirancang dengan pertimbangan aspek antropometri, aspek persepsi dan kognisi, termasuk area taman dan area foodcourt. Taman dirancang sebagai area transisi yang terletak baik di dalam bangunan maupun di luar bangunan. Area Foodcourt menjadi ruang sosial di lantai dua dengan pertimbangan prinsip diversity, convenience, dan third place untuk beragam pengguna. Beberapa elemen bangunan dirancang untuk memberikan kemudahan pengguna dalam bernavigasi (wayfinding) dan beraktivitas di dalam bangunan. Untuk memberikan ekspresi pasar tradisional, maka rancangan fasad dari bangunan memiliki bentuk dan ekspresi dengan bentuk atap pelana dan material genteng bitumen serta dinding bata

Social equality occurs because of the variety of responses from social interactions between individuals. In everyday life, social interaction is not considered because it is believed to be a support or alternative to other interactions. The market environment, especially traditional markets, can be an example of an environment that maximizes social equality. So, to support this goal, an innovative market design is needed. This design thesis aims to respond to the problem of market design that has social equity values with an inclusive architectural approach. This design uses several design stages, among others, finding and formulating general problems into specific problems, and responding to problems by applying inclusive design principles to architectural aspects and elements. Definitions of traditional and modern markets, principles of social space and inclusive design theory are studied using literature and precedent studies. The results of the study analysis are used to determine the criteria and market design concepts to respond to the various needs of users of inclusive environment-based market buildings. The results of the first design, to respond to the diversity of buying and selling activities in traditional markets by presenting the quality of form and space with an inclusive design concept. The design provides a variety of buying and selling facilities that accommodate a variety of equal social interactions. The design of space and form in the market building is designed with consideration of anthropometric aspects, aspects of perception and cognition, including the garden area and the food court area. The garden is designed as a transitional area located both inside and outside the building. The Foodcourt area is a social space on the second floor with consideration of the principles of diversity, convenience and third place for various users. Several elements of the building are designed to make it easier for users to navigate (wayfinding) and do activities inside the building. To give a traditional market expression, the façade design of the building has a shape and expression with a gable roof and bituminous tile material and brick walls
