Abstract
Biaya bahan bakar merupakan faktor biaya terbesar dalam pengoperasian kapal sebagai alat transportasi laut. Power mesin merupakan salah satu faktor utama yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap konsumsi bahan bakar kapal. Di samping itu, berkaitan dengan penggunaan bahan bakar di kapal, pengawasan bahan bakar masih mengalami banyak tantangan karena pengawas di kantor cenderung lebih fokus pada kemampuan kapal untuk beroperasi dan tiba tepat waktu. Belum ada pemantauan menyeluruh terhadap konsumsi bahan bakar di atas kapal, akibatnya banyak kapal yang pengawasan dan pengecekan penggunaan bahan bakarnya tidak efisien, sehingga dapat mengganggu biaya operasional dan berdampak buruk bagi perusahaan dalam mengoperasikan kapal-kapal tersebut di kemudian hari. Selain power mesin, kondisi lingkungan juga berpengaruh terhadap jumlah konsumsi bahan bakar. Salah satu contoh kondisi lingkungan tersebut adalah kondisi gelombang. Hal ini terjadi karena ketinggian gelombang dapat mempengaruhi pengurangan kecepatan kapal sehingga terjadi peningkatan hambatan total dan berdampak pada total waktu pelayaran tiap rute. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang ada, maka dibutuhkannya suatu program komputer yang dapat memprediksi konsumsi bahan bakar. Program komputer tersebut juga harus mampu untuk mempertimbangkan kondisi lingkungan, salah satunya adalah gelombang. Dengan adanya program komputer ini maka jumlah konsumsi bahan bakar yang diperlukan dapat diprediksi. Program ini dirancang dengan melakukan perhitungan kecepatan kapal, total waktu pelayaran, hasil perhitungan hambatan calm water, dan hambatan gelombang untuk mendapatkan nilai hambatan total. Nilai hambatan total dibutuhkan untuk melakukan perhitungan power mesin dan konsumsi bahan bakar kapal. Dalam pengerjaan Tugas Akhir ini dilakukan simulasi program menggunakan data kapal KRISO-KCS dengan rute pelayaran Surabaya – Tokyo dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman python. Pada simulasi program dengan rute Surabaya – Tokyo didapatkan hasil perhitungan konsumsi bahan bakar sebesar 474,70 ton dan peningkatan jumlah konsumsi bahan bakar karena pengaruh gelombang sebesar 15,180%, atau dapat di bulatkan menjadi 15,2%. Dengan adanya program komputer ini diharapkan dapat membantu pihak manajemen kapal dalam mengontrol konsumsi bahan bakar yang biasanya sulit dilakukan.

Fuel costs are the biggest cost factor in operating ships as a means of sea transportation. Engine power is one of the main factors that has a significant effect on ship fuel consumption. In addition, with regard to the use of fuel on ships, fuel control still faces many challenges because supervisors in offices tend to focus more on the ability of ships to operate and arrive on time. There is no comprehensive monitoring of fuel consumption on board, as a result many ships are monitored and checked for inefficient use of fuel, which can disrupt operational costs and have a negative impact on the company in operating these ships in the future. In addition to engine power, environmental conditions also affect the amount of fuel consumption. One example of such environmental conditions is wave conditions. This happens because wave height can affect the reduction in ship speed resulting in an increase in total resistance and impact on the total sailing time of each route. Based on the existing problems, we need a computer program that can predict fuel consumption. The computer program must also be able to consider environmental conditions, one of which is waves. With this computer program, the amount of fuel consumption required can be predicted. This program is designed by calculating ship speed, total sailing time, calculation results of calm water resistance, and wave resistance to obtain the total resistance value. The total resistance value is needed to calculate the engine power and fuel consumption of the ship. In doing this Final Project, a program simulation was carried out using KRISO-KCS ship data with the Surabaya - Tokyo shipping route using the python programming language. In the simulation program with the Surabaya - Tokyo route, the calculation results for fuel consumption are 474.70 tons and the increase in the amount of fuel consumption due to the influence of waves is 15.180%, or can be rounded up to 15.2%. With this computer program, it is hoped that it can assist ship management in controlling fuel consumption which is usually difficult to do.
