Abstract

Komunitas kreatif adalah komunitas yang berlatarbelakang kesamaan hobi atau ketertarikan, misal dalam hal desain, seni rupa dan kerajinan, film dan media, seni pertunjukan, kuliner, literatur, ataupun sosial budaya. Kota Surabaya sebagai kota dengan jumlah unit usaha kreatif terbanyak di Indonesia tentunya membutuhkan tempat bagi para komunitas ini untuk berkembang dan memperluas relasinya, baik dengan masyarakat awam juga dengan komunitas lainnya. Objek rancang yang terletak di antara Jalan Embong Malang dan Jalan Tunjungan ini merupakan sebuah creative space yang akan membantu mengembangkan dan menciptakan kolaborasi antar komunitas maupun dengan masyarakat umum di Surabaya. Proses desain menggunakan force-based framework dengan pendekatan User-centered Design dan teori Designing Creative Space, juga teori Placemaking dan Urban Identity untuk membantu dalam proses olah tapak

Creative community is a community with a background in common hobbies or interests, for example in terms of design, fine arts and crafts, film and media, performing arts, culinary, literature, or social culture. Surabaya as the city with the largest number of creative business units in Indonesia certainly needs a place for these communities to develop and expand its relationships, both with general public and with other communities. This design object, which is located between Jalan Embong Malang and Jalan Tunjungan, is a creative space that will help develop and create collaboration between communities and the general public in Surabaya. The design process uses a force-based framework by Plowright with a User-centered Design approach and Designing Creative Space theory, as well as Placemaking and Urban Identity theory to assist in the site processing process
