Abstract

Di dalam suatu sistem produksi, hal-hal yang sering dibahas adalah kualitas, efisiensi, dan produktivitas. Ketiga hal tersebut memiliki keterkaitan satu sama lain. Ketika produk dengan kualitas buruk (defect) dan kegiatan yang tidak memiliki nilai tambah dapat diminimalisir suatu perusahaan, maka produktivitas perusahaan akan meningkat karena output yang dihasilkan maksimal dan juga akan meningkatkan efisiensi karena tidak banyak melakukan hal-hal yang tidak bernilai tambah seperti rework, extra-process, waiting, dan lain-lain. PT Perkebunan Nusantara XII (PTPN XII), Kebun Pancursari merupakan salah satu perusahaan agroindustri yang memperhatikan kualitas dalam produknya. Produk andalan mereka adalah karet lembaran bergaris (Ribbed Smoked Sheet) yang digunakan sebagai bahan baku utama produk berbahan dasar karet alam seperti ban, sol sepatu, karet penghapus, dan sebagainya. Pada sistem produksinya, PTPN XII, Kebun Pancursari masih mengalami beberapa masalah seperti adanya produk yang turun mutu karena adanya defect dan kegiatan-kegiatan yang menyebabkan pemborosan baik dari segi biaya maupun waktu produksi. Sehingga dilakukan usaha untuk mengurangi jumlah defect dan meminimasi adanya pemborosan (waste) karena kegiatan yang tidak bernilai tambah dengan menggunakan metode Lean Six Sigma (LSS). LSS merupakan salah satu metode perbaikan terus menerus melalui tahap Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC). Dengan metode ini, peneliti dapat meingkatkan level sigma PTPN XII, Kebun Pancursari dari 3,741 menjadi 3,995 dan mengurangi kerugian akibat pemborosan sekitar 73% khususnya pada produksi bulan September 2022.

In a production system, things that are usually discussed are quality, efficiency, and productivity. These things are related to each other. When products with poor quality caused by defects and non-value added activities (NVA) can be minimized by a company, the company's productivity will increase due to output produced is optimum and it will also increase efficiency because of minimized NVA such as rework, extra -process, waiting, and others. PT Perkebunan Nusantara XII (PTPN XII), Kebun Pancursari is one of the agro-industrial companies that pays attention to the quality of its products. Their flagship product is Ribbed Smoked Sheet which is used as the main raw material for natural rubber-based products such as tires, shoe soles, rubber wipers, and many others. In its production system, PTPN XII Kebun Pancursari is still experiencing a number of problems such as decreased quality products due to defects and NVA that causing some waste both in terms of cost and production time. Therefore, this research are made to reduce the number of defects and minimize waste due to NVA by using the Lean Six Sigma (LSS) method. LSS is a continuous improvement method through the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC) stage. With this method, researchers can increase the sigma level of PTPN XII, Kebun Pancursari from 3,741 to 3,995 and reduce losses due to waste by around 73%, especially in production in September 2022.
