Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara agraris karena banyak penduduknya yang bermatapencaharian sebagai petani. Disamping julukannya sebagai negara agraris, Indonesia nyatanya memiliki skor indeks keamanan pangan yang cukup rendah dibanding negara tetangga dengan iklim yang sama. Hal ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yang salah satunya adalah rendahnya kualitas pangan yang disebabkan oleh sistem pertanian yang secara mayoritas masih bergantung dengan sumber daya alam sepenuhnya padahal saat ini, sumber daya alam semakin terbatas terutama ketersediaan lahan dan air mengalir untuk irigasi di area perkotaan. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan Sustainable Agriculture sebagai upaya menjaga keutuhan lingkungan dan sumber daya alam serta meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian, rancangan ini diharapkan dapat membantu menciptakan lingkungan terkendali berupa arsitektur yang dapat memaksimalkan hasil pertanian dan kualitas pangan kota dengan mengoptimalkan penggunaan sumber daya yang ada. ====================================================================================================================================
Indonesia is an agrarian country because many of its inhabitants work as farmers. Despite its nickname as an agricultural country, Indonesia actually has a food safety index score that is quite low compared to neighboring countries with the same climate. This is caused by several factors, one of which is the low quality of food caused by agricultural systems which in the majority are still fully dependent on natural resources whereas nowadays, natural resources are increasingly limited, especially the availability of land and water for irrigation in urban areas. By using the Sustainable Agriculture approach as an effort to maintain the integrity of the environment and natural resources and increase agricultural productivity, this proposal is expected to help create a controlled environment in the form of architecture that can maximize agricultural yields and urban food quality by optimizing the use of existing natural resources.
