Abstract

Manufacturing excellence adalah kegiatan manufaktur yang menciptakan aliran proses bisnis yang efisien dan sederhana yang dipengaruhi oleh budaya, peran personel, sistem, serta kolaborasi dan integrasi yang optimal guna mengurangi atau bahkan menghilangkan pemborosan. Pencapaian manufacturing excellence dapat dilakukan dengan mengkombinasikan budaya kerja yang positif antara manufaktur kereta api dan afiliasi, peningkatan proses bisnis yang efektif dan efisien, serta dukungan teknis. Pada proses bisnis secara tidak langsung mempengaruhi kinerja perusahaan, karena itu perlu diusulkan adanya analisa terhadap proses bisnis yang diterapkan sesuai dengan perubahan struktur organisasi baru di tahun 2020 sampai sekarang dengan menggunakan metode Lean Six Sigma dan metode Quality Function Deployment (QFD) dalam proses perbaikan guna mencapai manufacturing excellence. Tahap pengerjaan dengan metode Lean Six Sigma dilakukan dengan metode DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improvement, and Control). Berdasarkan metode DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improvement, and Control) tersebut diperoleh waste kritis yaitu Waiting for the next step (Waiting), Doing work not requested (Overproduction) dan Errors in documents (Defect). Kemudian dari waste tersebut dilakukan analisa untuk mengetahui akar penyebab permasalahan dan respon teknis yang akan digunakan untuk menentukan alternatif perbaikan dengan menggunakan metode Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), dan Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Dari analisa tersebut diperoleh kombinasi alternatif perbaikan 1, 2, dan 3 dalam meminimalisasi atau bahkan menghilangkan waste, sehingga dapat meningkatkan proses bisnis manufaktur kereta api dan afiliasi yang lebih efektif dan efisien. Prinsip manufacturing excellence dapat dicapai dengan kombinasi alternatif perbaikan yaitu authorized formal systems pada alternative perbaikan melakukan pembuatan database yang bisa digunakan bersama antara manufaktur kereta api dan afiliasi, good housekeeping and organization dan communication pada alternatif melakukan pembahasan prosedur yang lebih sederhana dan terintegrasi antara manufaktur kereta api dan afiliasi, serta membreakdown target sesuai dengan Master Production Schedule.

Manufacturing excellence is a manufacturing activity that creates an efficient and simple business process flow that is influenced by culture, personnel roles, and systems, as well as optimal collaboration and integration to reduce or even eliminate waste. Achieving manufacturing excellence can be done by combining a positive work culture between railroad manufacturers and affiliates, improving effective and efficient business processes, and technical support. Business processes indirectly affect company performance, therefore it is necessary to propose an analysis of the business processes that are implemented according to changes in the new organizational structure in 2020 until now by using the Lean Six Sigma method and the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method in the improvement process to achieve manufacturing excellence. The working phase with the Lean Six Sigma method is carried out using the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improvement, and Control) method. Based on the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improvement, and Control) method, critical waste is obtained, namely Waiting for the next step (Waiting), Doing work not requested (Overproduction), and Errors in documents (Defect). Then an analysis of the waste is carried out to find out the root causes of the problem and the technical response that will be used to determine alternative improvements using the Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), and Quality Function Deployment (QFD) methods. From this analysis, a combination of improvement alternatives 1, 2, and 3 is obtained in minimizing or even eliminating waste, to improve the business processes of railroad manufacturing and affiliates that are more effective and efficient. The principle of manufacturing excellence can be achieved with a combination of alternative improvements, namely authorized formal systems for alternative improvements to create a database that can be shared between railroad manufacturers and affiliates, good housekeeping and organization, and communication as alternatives to discussing procedures that are simpler and integrated between railroad manufacturers and affiliates, as well as target breakdowns under the Master Production Schedule.
