Every war or conflict is a war against children. Issues of crisis and humanitarian conflict are still raging all over the world. Children are also victims who are vulnerable to issues of armed conflict and situations of violence. However, until now there are still few media that raise humanitarian issues through the perspective of children.
Indonesia as a country that has close historical ties with Palestine still maintains that good relationship. Besides that, character education for students plays an important role in building the quality of education in Indonesia. This is a potential need for efforts to introduce humanitarian issues as a social care character development in the school and community environment. Children's story books are one of the learning media that can be selected. This research focuses on designing children's story books about insight into human issues as an effort to instill socially caring characters in children. This design method uses several stages, starting from data collection through literature studies on journals, in-depth interviews, experimental studies, testing and evaluating. The design of this illustrated book aims to educate children about insight into world humanitarian conflict issues. It is hoped that the results of this design will be able to become a medium for introducing humanitarian issues and triggering concrete social care actions.
