Abstract

Kota Tua merupakan suatu kawasan yang dilindungi karena memiliki nilai-nilai sejarah.Kota Tua tersebar di seluruh wilayah di Indonesia, namun beberapa tempat wisata Kota Tua belum banyak diketahui oleh masyarakat. Penting sebagai generasi muda untuk menjaga dan melestarikan kekayaan tersebut. Kota Tua Jakarta baru selesai melakukan revitalisasi di akhir tahun 2022 dan terdapat beberapa perubahan baru seperti adanya daerah low emission zone, area taman yang baru dan Halte Kota baru setelah dipindahkan ke daerah lain. Maka berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, perancangan ini dibuat untuk menghasilkan media yang dapat mendokumentasikan informasi terbaru yang besifat long lasting dalam bentuk buku visual. Pengambilan data untuk perancangan ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Metode kuantitatif dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner dan metode kualitatif dilakukan melalui studi pustaka, observasi, depth interview, dan user testing. Proses pengumpulan data diawali dengan melakukan studi pustaka, pembagian kuesioner kepada target konsumen, dan observasi. Setelah itu melakukan depth interview dengan narasumber yang berhubungan dengan perancangan seperti penulis, tour guide, dan lainnya. Data yang didapat kemudian diolah dijadikan prototype dalam bentuk buku visual. Selanjutnya setelah prototype selesai dilakukan user testing dengan target konsumen yang telah ditentukan. Masukan yang diberikan dijadikan penyempurnaan untuk hasil luaran akhir perancangan. Hasil luaran akhir berbentuk buku visual yang berguna selain sebagi buku informasi tempat wisata, buku ini di dominasi dengan visual fotografi sebagai pusat perhatian utamanya. Diaharapkan buku ini dapat digunakan untuk mengenalkan tempat wisata Kota Tua Jakarta dan dapat menjadi panduan perancangan untuk buku yang membahas Kota Tua lainnya.

Kota Tua is a protected area because it has historical values. Kota Tua is spread across all regions in Indonesia, but some of the Kota Tua tourist attractions are not widely known by the public. It is important for the younger generation to maintain and preserve this wealth. Kota Tua Jakarta has just finished revitalizing it at the end of 2022 and there have been several new changes such as the existence of a low emission zone area, a new park area and a new City Bus Stop after being moved to another area. So based on this background, this design was made to produce media that can document the latest information that is long lasting in the form of a visual book. Collecting data for this design using qualitative and quantitative methods. The quantitative method is carried out by distributing questionnaires and the qualitative method is carried out through literature, observation, in-depth interviews, and user testing. The data collection process begins with conducting a literature study, distributing questionnaires to target consumers, and observing. After that, conduct in-depth interviews with sources related to design such as writers, tour guides, and others. The data obtained is then processed into a prototype in the form of a visual book. Furthermore, after the prototype has been completed, user testing is carried out with predetermined target consumers. The input given is used as a refinement for the final output of the design. The final output is in the form of a visual book which is useful apart from being an information book on tourist attractions, this book is dominated by visual photography as its focus. He hopes that this book can be used to introduce the tourist attractions of Jakarta's Kota Tua and can serve as a design guide for books that discuss other Kota Tua.
