Abstract

Soal cerita merupakan salah satu bentuk penyajian masalah matematika dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, yang contohnya banyak ditemui pada materi peluang tingkat SMA. Latihan soal dianggap sebagai solusi yang efektif untuk menaikkan standar kompetensi siswa dalam mengerjakan soal cerita. Akan tetapi soal yang dapat dikerjakan oleh siswa terbatas pada buku pelajaran yang tersedia, soal yang tersebar di internet, atau pada layanan bimbingan belajar yang berbayar. Dalam Tugas Akhir ini dibuat program generator soal cerita beserta pembahasan dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Java dan sistem basis data SQLite. Sistem basis data dirancang untuk menyimpan kosakata yang akan digunakan untuk membuat soal cerita. Program hasil penelitian menghasilkan soal dan pembahasan yang tidak memiliki kesamaan angka untuk setiap proses pembuatan.

Word problem is one of the many ways to present a real mathematical problem from everyday life, which is often found on high school probability problems. Doing excercises is considered to be an effective way to increase students’ proficiency level in solving word problems. However, the amount of problem that can be solved by students is limited by available textbook, problems in the internet, or from paid tutoring services. In this project, a word problem generator with its corresponding solution is made using Java programming language and SQLite database system. Database system is designed to store vocabularies which are going to be used to make word problems. Problems and solutions generated by the program will always have different numbers in each generation process.
