Abstract

Aset berharga karena dapat menghasilkan pendapatan atau dikonversi menjadi uang tunai. Aset dapat berupa barang fisik, seperti mesin, atau tidak berwujud, seperti kekayaan intelektual. Aset dilaporkan di neraca perusahaan, salah satu laporan keuangan utama. Setiap aset harus dimonitoring keberadaan dan kondisi tersebut. Dikarenakan hal tersebut maka adanya disebut metode asset tracking. Manfaat asset tracking adalah untuk membantu penelusuran aset tetap yang berguna untuk meminimalisir terhambatnya kegiatan perusahaan. Untuk mencegah terjadinya kesalahan pada aset, maka suatu kelompok setidaknya mengetahui posisi aset tersebut berada. Maka dari itu pada penelitian ini akan dibuatnya sistem asset tracking dengan menggunakan Global Positioning System atau GPS. Karena adanya GPS maka aset tersebut akan memancarkan sinyal untuk menampilkan posisi aset tersebut. Posisi tersebut akan ditampilkan oleh perangkat yang berbeda dari perangkat yang mengirim koordinat asset tersebut. Aplikasi web-based asset tracking tersebut dapat membantu individu maupun suatu kelompok atau organisasi dapat melacak barang maupun aset mereka ketika dilakukan pengiriman. Aplikasi tersebut dapat melihat koordinat dari aset pengguna, waktu durasi aset ke suatu tujuan dan juga melihat status apakah aset tersebut masih berjalan atau sudah selesai pada pengiriman. Untuk mengetahui posisi sebuat aset dimana berada maka akan digunakan suatu alat yang memiliki built-in sistem pada alat tersebut. Maka pada penelitian ini untuk melacak aset tersebut akan menggunakan smartphone yang memiliki GPS didalam alat tersebut. Posisi aset tersebut akan disimpan dalam bentuk koordinat latitude dan longitude dari suatu aset tersebut berada yang akan ditampilkan pada aplikasi tersebut.

Assets are valuable because they can generate income or be converted into cash. Assets can be physical items, such as machinery, or intangible, such as intellectual property. Assets are reported on a company's balance sheet, one of the main financial statements. Every asset must be monitored for its existence and condition. Due to this, there is a so-called asset tracking method. The benefit of asset tracking is to help track fixed assets which is useful for minimizing the obstruction of company activities. To prevent errors in assets, then a group at least knows the position of the asset is located. Therefore, this research will create an asset tracking system using the Global Positioning System or GPS. Because of the GPS, the asset will emit a signal to display the position of the asset. The position will be displayed by a different device from the device that sent the asset coordinates. The web-based asset tracking application can help individuals or a group or organization track their goods or assets when they are shipped. The application can see the coordinates of the user's assets, the time duration of the asset to a destination and also see the status of whether the asset is still running or has finished shipping. To find out the position of an asset where it is located, a tool will be used that has a built-in system on the tool. So in this study to track these assets will use a smartphone that has GPS in the device. The position of the asset will be stored in the form of latitude and longitude coordinates of an asset that will be displayed in the application.
