Abstract

Pada masa pandemi Covid-19, penggunaan TV kampus telah melebihi kapasitas awalnya yang hanya sebagai media pemberitaan seputar kampus saja dan webinar. Banyaknya mahasiswa yang belum mengenal bahkan menginjak kampus membuat keberadaan media ini sangat dibutuhkan sebagai jembatan yang menghubungkan pihak universitas dan mahasiswa, bahkan calon mahasiswa kelak. Penggunaan YouTube sebagai media siar TV Kampus hendaknya dimaksimalkan sesuai marwah media sosial yang memproduksi konten bagi audience. Pembangunan citra institusi yang positif di tengah dorongan pemerintah bagi PTN untuk menjadi otonom juga merupakan penguatan TV Kampus dalam memproduksi konten penunjang citra positif kampus. Penelitian ini difokuskan kepada pengembangan konten yang sesuai dengan stakeholder yang ada di PTN U menggunakan metode berpikir design thinking dengan mengambil perspektif dari berbagai stakeholder yang ada di kampus seperti pimpinan rektorat, dosen, tenaga pendidik, pengelola media, mahasiswa, dan calon mahasiswa. Penggunaan metode ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar dalam penentuan usulan konten bagi TV kampus untuk ke depannya. Tujuan studi model pengembangan konten TV kampus ialah untuk menghasilkan format konten TV Kampus yang bermanfaat bagi para stakeholder terkait. Metode design thinking pada penelitian ini menghasilkan beberapa rekomendasi seperti jadwal upload, memodifikasi konten yang sudah ada, dan saran konten berdasarkan langkah empati user. Pengelolaan TV Kampus yang profesional didukung oleh format konten yang sesuai dengan audience dalam menjangkau keinginan dari kampus dan mahasiswa menjadi sebuah langkah besar dalam perwujudan TV Kampus ideal di masa depan. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi beberapa universitas maupun institusi pendidikan sejenis dalam pengembangan TV kampusnya.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the use of campus TV has exceeded its initial capacity, which was only a media for news about campus and webinars. The large number of students who do not know and even step on campus makes the existence of this media much needed as a bridge connecting the university and students, even future students. The use of YouTube as a campus TV broadcast media should be maximized according to the dignity of social media which produces content for the audience. Building a positive institutional image in the midst of the government's push for Public University to become autonomous is also a strengthening of Campus TV in producing content that supports a positive campus image. This research is focused on developing content according to stakeholders at U State University using design thinking method by taking the perspectives of various stakeholders on campus such as the rectorate leaders, lecturers, educators, media managers, students, and prospective students. The use of this method is expected to be the basis for determining content proposals for campus TV in the future. The aim of studying the campus TV content development model is to produce a campus TV content format that is useful for relevant stakeholders. Design thinking method in this study resulting several recommendations such as upload schedule, modifying existing content, and content suggestion based on user empathy step. The professional management of Campus TV supported by content formats that suit the audience in reaching the wishes of the campus and students, which is a big step in realizing the ideal Campus TV in the future. The results of this research are expected to be a reference for several universities and similar educational institutions in developing their campus TV.
