Abstract

Oyster mushroom growth is influenced by several environmental factors, one of them is humidity. However, it is not uncommon for farmers to have difficulty controlling the humidity in the mushroom house. This is due to insufficient systems and tools and it is quite difficult to control the humidity of oyster mushrooms in a conventional way. Therefore, the design of this control system can assist farmers in controlling humidity automatically. This control system is made with an Arduino Uno as microcontroller with DHT11 sensor as a humidity detector, then Arduino Uno will initiate a humidifier and fan via a relay to help increase or decrease humidity in the oyster mushroom house. Measurements were carried out in 3 ways, the first measurement for 2 days with a humidity set point of 74%, the second measurement for 2 days with a humidity set point of 84%, and the third measurement for 3 hours with a set point difference between humidity inside and outside the house in the amount of 10%, with taken every 5 minutes at each first measurement and second measurement, as well every minutes at the third measurement. The results of this final project show that the system being run and able to maintain humidity stability in the oyster mushroom house homogeneously, with a set point of 74% show the data is obtained at an average of 74.04%, for a set point of 84% show the measurement results are at an average of 83.06%, and for the set point difference 10% show the results of measuring the difference in data are at an average of 10.68%.
