Abstract

Daycare is an institution that provides child care services with complete facilities and non-formal education in the form of a series of activities to support the growth and development of early childhood. In the process of learning, young children need a safe, comfortable, and warm environment with the right stimulus for optimal learning. Daycare with a homey-educreative concept presents a comfortable and child-friendly interior design with non-formal learning method using art therapy. Children can feel at home, learn while playing in a safe and comfortable environment, also hone their motor skills and potential interests in the arts. The homey-educreative concept is complemented by a one stop service in the form of children and parents’ workshops, parenting seminars for parents, as well as art galleries and performances of children’s works. These series of activities are translated into interior designs that suit the physical and behavioral characteristics of young children. The design of this one stop service daycare can be used as a reference for the construction of similar interior objects that choose non-formal learning methods for the development of potential interest in early childhood talents. The homey-educreative concept in Homeyland daycare is applied to multipurpose room, main activity room, as well as entrance and waiting room area, with the placement of comfortable and functional furniture and aesthetic elements
