Abstract
Excavator adalah alat berat yang terdiri dari : batang, tongkat, keranjang dan rumah rumah dalam sebuah wahana putar, dan digunakan untuk penggalian . Beberapa bidang industri yang menggunakan ekskavator antara lain konstruksi, pertambangan, infrastruktur, pembuatan jalan raya. Dilihat dari strukturnya,ekskavator terdiri dari tiga bagian, yaitu : upperstructure, front attachment, dan undercarriage. Pada saat pengoperasian excavator, pengaruh dari panas dan medan jalan yang umumnya adalah tanah keras dan berpasir yang dapat membuat kerusakan dan keausan pada komponen excavator terutama komponen dari undercarriage yang bersentuan langsung dengan tanah , pasir dll. Untuk mengatasi kerusakan yang terjadi, setiap industri memiliki strategi untuk mengatasi kerusakan dan keausan yaitu, maintenance atau perawatan unit, jenis perawatan yang biasa di lakukan antara lain, preventive maintenance, reactive maintenance, predictive testing and inspection, dan proactive maintenance. Oleh sebab itu perlu dilakukan perhitungan laju persentase keausan dan sisa umur untuk mengetahui kerusakan dan keausan pada komponen undercarriage. Harapan pada penelitian PA ini agar mengetahui laju persentase keausan dan sisa umur undercarriage pada komponen Sprocket, Track link, Idler

Excavators are heavy equipment consisting of: rods, sticks, baskets and houses in a rotary vehicle, and are used for excavation. Some industrial fields that use excavators include construction, mining, infrastructure, and road construction. Judging from its structure, the excavator consists of three parts, namely: upper structure, front attachment, and undercarriage. When operating an excavator, the influence of heat and road terrain, which is generally hard and sandy soil, can cause damage and wear and tear on excavator components, especially components of the undercarriage that come in direct contact with soil, sand, etc. To overcome the damage that occurs, each industry has a strategy for dealing with damage and wear and tear, namely, maintenance or maintenance of units, the types of maintenance that are usually carried out include preventive maintenance, reactive maintenance, predictive testing and inspection, and proactive maintenance. Therefore it is necessary to calculate the percentage rate of wear and remaining life to determine the damage and wear on the undercarriage components. It is hoped that this PA research will determine the percentage of wear and remaining undercarriage life on the Sprocket, Track link, Idler components.
