Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan usulan perbaikan pada performansi rotary packer unit Packing Plant Banyuwangi di PT Semen Gresik. Sistem produksi semen yang kontinyu memberikan konsekuensi bahwa performansi dan keandalan mesin untuk siap berproduksi sangat berpengaruh terhadap kapasitas produksi. Terganggunya kinerja mesin packer akibat tidak beroperasi penuh spout merupakan permasalahan yang ingin diteliti. Kondisi tersebut dipengaruhi karena Filling Turbine dan Silinder Pneumatik. Metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) melakukan pendekatan yang sistematis untuk mengidentifikasi dan mencegah kegagalan dari suatu sistem atau peralatan. Mengklasifikan failure mode ke dalam beberapa kategori untuk menentukan tingkat prioritas dalam penangan masing-masing failure mode berdasarkan kategorinya. Dengan membuat worksheet FMEA dapat diketahui failure mode, failure cause dan effect analysis dari tidak bekerjanya spout secara optimal. Kemudian dilakukan penentuan nilai risk priority number RPN dari occurance,safety dan detection. Sehingga dapat diberikan rekomendasi untuk perbaikan bagian yang tidak bekerja optimal.

This study aims to provide suggestions for improvements to the performance of the rotary packer unit of the Banyuwangi Packing Plant at PT Semen Gresik. A continuous cement production system has the consequence that the performance and demands of machines to be ready for production greatly affect production capacity. Disruption of the performance of the packer machine due to not fully operating the spout is a problem to be investigated. This condition is affected by Filling Turbine and Pneumatic Cylinders. The Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method takes a systematic approach to identify and prevent failures of a system or equipment. Classify failure modes into several categories to determine the level of priority in handling each failure mode based on its category. By making an FMEA worksheet, it can be known the failure mode, failure cause and effect analysis of the spout not working optimally. Then the risk value of the RPN priority number is carried out from the event, security and detection. So that recommendations can be given for repairing parts that are not working optimally.
