Abstract
Proyek Manyar Smelter Desalination Plant merupakan salah satu bagian dari Manyar Smelter Project yang dimiliki oleh PT. Freeport Indonesia. Proyek ini akan digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air pada kegiatan proses produksi/ pengolahan bahan tambang. Saat ini, proyek sedang dalam proses konstruksi oleh Black & Veatch dan PT. Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. Selama magang berlangsung penulis ditempatkan di dua divisi yaitu, divisi QAQC dan divisi engineering Selama penulis ditempatkan di divisi QAQC belajar banyak terkait dengan beberapa hal diantaranya, pembuatan dokumen request for inspection (RFI), pembuatan dokumen inspection and test plan (ITP), pengecekan dan pengawasan proses pemancangan, menyaksikan proses pile integrity test (PIT), tes PDA re-strike, tes kuat tekan beton, analisa evaluasi tes kuat tekan beton berdasarkan ACI-214r, dan menyelesaikan dokumen non-conformance report (NCR). Selain itu, Selama penulis ditempatkan di divisi engineering banyak wawasan dan ilmu baru dalam menganalisa dan merekayasa suatu permasalahan ketekniksipilan. Ada beberapa penugasan yang diberikan kepada penulis diantaranya, pembuatan method statement terkait dengan embedded installation work dan bitumenous-sand mix installation , perhitungan kebutuhan coating pada beberapa bangunan, memonitoring after cutting pile, merencanakan dan menganalisa galian, pembuatan bar bending schedule, dan pembuatan tulangan pile head treatment (PHT).

The Manyar Smelter Desalination Plant project is one part of the Manyar Smelter Project owned by PT Freeport Indonesia. This project will be used to meet water needs in the production / processing of mining materials. Currently, the project is under construction by Black & Veatch and PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. During the internship, the author was placed in two divisions, namely, the QAQC division and the engineering division. While the author was placed in the QAQC division, he learned a lot related to several things including, making request for inspection (RFI) documents, making inspection and test plan (ITP) documents, checking and supervising the piling process, witnessing the pile integrity test (PIT) process, PDA re-strike tests, concrete compressive strength tests, analyzing concrete compressive strength test evaluations based on ACI-214r, and completing non-conformance report (NCR) documents. In addition, as long as the author was placed in the engineering division, there were many new insights and knowledge in analyzing and engineering an engineering problem. There are several assignments given to the author including, making method statements related to embedded installation work and bitumenous-sand mix installation, calculating coating requirements on several buildings, monitoring after cutting piles, planning and analyzing excavations, making bar bending schedules, and making pile head treatment (PHT) reinforcement.
