Abstract

The solutions of boson star are obtained by considering the solutions of nontopological soliton in Abelian Higgs model in the gravitational field. This system consists of a complex scalar field coupled to a complex scalar Higgs field with Abelian Higgs mechanism of spontaneous symmetry breaking. The solution of the system equations for matter field and gravitational field is solved numerically and the quantity of interest is obtained in the form of the mass-energyM and the charge Q which play the role as particle number. The presence of gravitational field gives maximum value for both M and Q. The solution of boson star is stable against decay to free particle when its mass-energy is less than free-particle energy
