Abstract
PLTMH (PembangkitListrik Tenaga Mikrohidro) saat ini telah banyak dikembangkan di daerah pedesaan pada aliran sungai kecil atau irigasi sawah. Energi dari aliran irigasi ini dapat dimanfaatkan untuk membantu menyuplai kebutuhan listrik lokasi sekitar. Pada desa Tanen Kabupaten Tulungagung terdapat Air Terjun yang memiliki aliran air yang cepat,sehingga berpotensi untuk dimanfaatkan menjadi sumber tenaga listrik. Apalagi di sekitar tempat wisata Air Terjun Alam Kandung masih kurang penerangan. Oleh karena itu dirancangkan turbin Archimedes screw guna membantu menyuplai energi listrik untuk penerangan sekitar tempat wisata Air Terjun Alam Kandung.Setelah melakukan observasi dan studi literatur dirancangkan turbin Archimedes screw. Proses pembuatan Tutbin Archimedes Screw diawali dari perhitungan dimensi screw seperti, diameter poros,diameter turbin,panjang turbin, pitch turbin dan jumlah ulir. Setelah pembuatan Turbin Archimedes Screw kemudian dilakukan pengujian untuk mengetahui kapasitas Tubin Archimedes Screw.Dari data hasil perhitungan dan pengujian didapatkan diameter tubin 140mm, diameter poros42mm, panjang turbin 1080mm, pitch turbin 168mm, jumlah ulir 6 dandaya yang mampu dihasilkan Turbin Archimedes Screw adalah sebesar 5,33Watt dan memiliki efisiensi sebesar 8,6% dengan gaya 58,86 Ndan torsi 29,43N.m . Turbin Archimedes ini diterapkan guna mensupply kebutuhan listrik guna lampu penerangan jalan yang ada di sekitar Air Terjun Alam Kandung

MHP (MicrohydroPower Plant) has now been widely developed in rural areas on small rivers or rice fields irrigation. Energy from this irrigation flow can be used to help supply electricity needs around the site. In Tanen Village, Tulungagung Regency, there is a waterfallthat has a heavy flow of water, so it has the potential to be used as a source of electricity. Moreover, around the Kandung Natural Waterfall, there is still minimal lighting. Therefore, the Archimedes screw turbine was designed to help supply electrical energy for lighting around the Kandung Natural Waterfall.After observing and studying the literature, Archimedes screw turbine was designed. The process of making Tutbin Archimedes Screw begins by calculating screw dimensions such as shaft diameter, turbine diameter, turbine length, turbine pitch and number of threads. After making the Archimedes Screw Turbine, then testing is carried out to determine the capacity of the Archimedes Screw Tubin.From the results of calculations and testing, the tubin diameter is 140mm, the shaft diameter is 42mm, the turbine length is 1080mm, the turbine pitch is 168mm, the number of threads is 6 and the power that can be generated by the Archimedes Screw Turbine is 5.33 Watt. and has an efficiency of 8.6% with a force of 58.86 N and a torque of 29.43 N.m.This Archimedes turbine is applied to supply electricity for street lighting around the Alam Kandung Waterfall
