Abstract

Negara Indonesia merupakan negara yang memiliki intensitas kegempaan yang cukup tinggi. Gempa bumi ini menimbulkan puluhan ribu bangunan rusak dan runtuh serta korban jiwa akibat tertimpa bangunan. Kondisi tersebut mengharuskan Indonesia memiliki bangunan gedung yang tahan terhadap gempa kuat yang mana dapat mengurangi resiko jumlah korban jiwa akibat runtuhnya bangunan. Telah banyak metode yang dikembangkan dan diadopsi oleh para ilmuan guna mengurangi potensi kerusakan bangunan akibat aktivitas gempa bumi, salah satunya adalah penggunaan base isolator sebagai alat peredam gempa. Banyak jenis base isolator salah satunya yaitu LRB (Lead Rubber Bearing) memiliki fungsi dan kelebihan dapat mengurangi percepatan dan perpindahan struktur saat terjadi gempa kuat. Tetapi kandungan lead pada inti base isolator lama – kelamaan dapat mencemari lingkungan. Penelitian terbaru yang dilakukan oleh (Tan dan Hejazi, 2022) berjudul Development of Elastomeric Rubber Bearing Utilizing Core and Filler System dan Penelitian dari Wijaya,Tavio et al.,n.d (2019) berjudul Mechanical Properties Of Indonesian Hyperelastic Low-Grade Rubber For Low-Cost Base Isolator yang dilakukan pengembangan model base isolator jenis filler core rubber bearing. Sehingga dalam penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan material isian inti isolator yang ramah terhadap lingkungan. Pengembangan model modifikasi SCRB (Sand Core Rubber Bearing), ECRB (Epoxy Core Rubber Bearing), RCRB (Rubber Core Rubber Bearing), dan PCRB (HDPE Core Rubber Bearing), dari segi isian, bentuk isolator, dan betuk core. Analisis perilaku struktur dengan menempatkan base isolator variasi material inti pada bangunan sehingga dapat diketahui kinerja dari struktur pada saat terjadi gempa kuat. Hasil evaluasi didapat bahwa pengembangan material isian core rubber bearing ramah lingkungan model SCRB (Sand Core Rubber Bearing), ECRB (Epoxy Core Rubber Bearing), RCRB (Rubber Core Rubber Bearing), dan PCRB (HDPE Core Rubber Bearing) membuktikan bahwa dengan mengganti isi inti core cukup efektif untuk mendisipasi energi gempa dan menggantikan isian lead yang tidak ramah terhadap lingkungan.

Indonesia is a country with a high seismic intensity. This earthquake caused tens of thousands of buildings to be damaged and collapse, as well as casualties due to falling buildings. These conditions require Indonesia to have buildings that are resistant to strong earthquakes, which can reduce the risk of fatalities due to building collapses. Many methods have been developed and adopted by scientists to reduce the potential for damage to buildings due to earthquake activity, one of which is the use of base isolators as earthquake dampers. There are many types of base isolators, one of which is the LRB (Lead Rubber Bearing), which has the function and advantage of reducing the acceleration and displacement of structures when a strong earthquake occurs. However, the lead content in the insulator base core can pollute the environment over time. The latest research conducted by Tan and Hejazi (2022), entitled "Development of Elastomeric Rubber Bearing Utilizing Core and Filler Systems," and research from Wijaya, Tavio et al. (2019), entitled "Mechanical Properties of Indonesian Hyperelastic Low-Grade Rubber for Low-Cost Base Isolator," developed a base model for an insulator type filler core rubber bearing. As a result, the goal of this study was to create an environmentally friendly insulator core fill material. development of modified models of SCRB (Sand Core Rubber Bearing), ECRB (Epoxy Core Rubber Bearing), RCRB (Rubber Core Rubber Bearing), and PCRB (HDPE Core Rubber Bearing) in terms of filling, insulator shape, and core shape. Analysis of the behavior of the structure is possible by placing a base insulator with a variation of the core material in the building so that the performance of the structure can be known in the event of a strong earthquake. The evaluation results showed that the development of environmentally friendly core rubber bearing filling materials for the SCRB (sand core rubber bearing), ECRB (epoxy core rubber bearing), RCRB (rubber core rubber bearing), and PCRB (HDPE core rubber bearing) cores is effective enough to dissipate earthquake energy and replace lead stuffing, which is not friendly to the environment.
