Abstract

Nowadays the sum of children with autism is incrased and not balanced with the facilities for treating this syndrom. Spesifically in East Java there are only 7 places for treating children with autism located in Surabaya, Malang and Kediri. These places still can not give services maximally to improve the lifeskill of children with autism in East Java. Considering how important the education for children with autism to get the life as like normal people, this Theurapeutics And Education Centre for Children with Autism is really needed as the place for studying and giving theurapy for children with autism. During the process of healing children with autism the most important thing which must be considered is the interaction of children with autism towards the environment around him/her. Children with autism have high sensitivity toward environment around him/her so the interaction must be designed and limited in order they don’t get stressed. An interaction process can be occupied when three factors of interaction are fullfilled. These factors are : contact, sustainability and adaptation. These three factors become the guideline during the process of designing this Theurapeutics And Education Centre for Children with Autism. Theurapeutics And Education Centre for Children with Autism is a place for facilitating children with autism ages between 4-12 years old to receive therapy, to receive education about how to be a normal and independent child/person, by adjusting the needs and sensitivity according to theirs. Beside that this building also accommodates parents and family of children with autism and also therapist and teacher to get know more about autism.
