Abstract

Energi terbarukan pada saat ini sangatlah beraneka ragam jenisnya dimana banyak digunakan sebagai pengganti bahan bakar minyak yang harganya semakin mahal dan cadangan di perut bumi semakin menipis. Salah satu contoh pemanfaatan energi terbarukan untuk menghasilkan listrik adalah menggunakan solar cell. Namun aplikasinya sendiri di bidang maritim masih sangat minim. Untuk itu perlu penelitian yang mengembangkan penerepan energi dari solar cell sebagai pembangkit utama di kapal. Di dalam tugas akhir ini penulis mendesain solar boat dengan menggunakan solar cell jenis mono-crytalline yang memiliki efisiensi panel surya sebesar 20%. Dimana dimensi kapal yang akan di desain adalah dengan panjang kapal keseluruhan (Loa) 15 meter dan lebar kapal (Breadth Overall) 5 meter menggunakan jenis lambung kapal katamaran dengan daya angkut 37 penumpang dan 3 ABK. Energi listrik yang dihasilkan oleh solar cell pada kapal adalah sebesar 15,36 kW dimana dengan daya tersebut dapat menghasilkan kecepatan dinas (service speed) sebesar 5 knot.

Renewable energy at the moment is very variegated kind which is widely used as a substitute for fuel oil whose price is getting expensive and backup in the bowels of the Earth depleting. One example of the utilization of renewable energy to generate electricity is using the solar cell. However, the application itself in the field of maritime is still very minimal. For it need to research who developed the practice of energy from the solar cell as the main generator on the ship. In this final project the author designed the solar boats using mono-type solar cell crytalline which has a solar panel efficiency by 20%. Where the ships will be in the dimention design is the length overall (Loa) 15 meters and the width (Breadth Overall) 5 meters using a catamaran hull with type of haulage 37 passengers and 3 crew on board. Electrical energy produced by solar cell on the ship is worth 15,36 kW in which power can generates a service speed amounting to 5 knots.
