Abstract

CPO (Crude Palm Oil) memiliki beberapa keunggulan sebagai bahan baku biogasoline, sehingga pasokan CPO cukup tersedia dan dapat memenuhi permintaan biogasoline, juga biogasoline yang dihasilkan dari CPO lebih ramah lingkungan dibandingkan bahan bakar fosil. Hal ini karena biogasoline CPO menghasilkan emisi gas rumah kaca yang lebih rendah. Proses pengolahan CPO menjadi biogasoline relatif mudah dan dapat dilakukan dengan teknologi yang tersedia. Dalam prosesnya, konversi CPO menjadi biogasoline juga menggunakan proses pirolisis karena proses pirolisis memiliki efisiensi tinggi dan juga fleksibilitas yang tinggi. Katalis γ-Al2O3 dapat meningkatkan efisiensi proses pirolisis dengan mempercepat laju reaksi, katalis γ-Al2O3 dapat meningkatkan kualitas produk pirolisis, seperti meningkatkan kemurnian dan kandungan senyawa yang dihasilkan. Katalis ini dapat mengurangi jumlah residu yang dihasilkan selama proses pirolisis, sehingga prosesnya menjadi lebih ramah lingkungan dan ekonomis. Pengujian ini menggunakan beberapa metode, FTIR untuk mendapatkan jumlah gugus fungsi suatu bahan, pengujian titik nyala untuk mendapatkan nomor titik nyala biogasoline, dan GC-MS untuk mendapatkan berat molekul biogasoline. Proses pirolisis ini dilakukan dengan beberapa variabel waktu dan temperatur, yaitu 380°C, 400°C, 420°C sedangkan waktu proses divariasikan 0,5 jam, 1 jam, 1,5 jam, dan 2 jam. Didapatkan pada penelitian ini apabila temperature serta waktu yang terlalu tinggi dapat menyebabkan overcrack di rantai karbon. Hasil proses pirolisis ini didapatkan bahwa fraksinasi dengan carbon content yang menyerupai bensin komersil terdapat pada proses pirolisis dengan variabel temperatur 400°C dan waktu 2 jam. Respon hasil berat molekul dan flash point terbaik pada variabel temperatur 400°C dan waktu 2 jam. Dengan hasil flash point sebesar 17°C dan berat molekul 140 gr/mol.

CPO (Crude Palm Oil) has several advantages as a biogasoline feedstock , so that the supply of CPO is sufficiently available and can meet the demand for biogasoline, also biogasoline produced from CPO is more environmentally friendly than fossil fuels. This is because CPO biogasoline produces lower greenhouse gas emissions. The process of processing CPO into biogasoline is relatively easy and can be done with available technology. In the process, the conversion of CPO to biogasoline also uses a pyrolysis process because the pyrolysis process has high efficiency and also high flexibility. Catalyst γ-Al2O3 can improve the efficiency of the pyrolysis process by accelerating the reaction rate and lowering the required temperature to achieve the desired result, it can also improve the product quality, Gama alumina catalyst can improve the quality of pyrolysis products, such as improving the purity and content of the compounds produced. The important role of this catalyst can reduce the amount of residue produced during the pyrolysis process, so that the process becomes more environmentally friendly and economical. Gama alumina catalysts are affordable catalysts and can be produced on a large scale with relatively low production costs. The analysis of this test uses several methods, namely: FTIR for get the number of functional group of a material, flash point testing for get the flash point number of the biogasoline, and GC-MS for get the molecular weight of the biogasoline. This proccess is carried out by several variables time and temperature, that are 380°C, 400°C, 420°C and 0.5 hours, 1 hours, 1.5 hours, and 2 hours. It was found in this study if the temperature and time are too high can cause overcrack in the carbon chain. The results of this pyrolysis process found that fractionation with carbon content that resembles commercial gasoline is found in the pyrolysis process with a variable temperature of 400°C and a time of 2 hours. In line with the best molecular weight and flash point response results at variable temperature 400°C and time 2 hours, with a flash point result of 17°C and a molecular weight 140 g/mol.
