Abstract

Rumah tinggal adalah salah satu kebutuhan dasar manusia selain pangan dan sandang. Sebagai salah satu kebutuhan dasar, penting rasanya memiliki rumah tinggal yang aman dan nyaman. Arsitek sebagai seorang perancang perlu memahami dan memenuhi standar kompetensi arsitek dalam menjalankan profesinya. Standar kompetensi arsitek terdiri dari 13 butir yang disusun Ikatan Arsitek Indonesia (IAI) berdasarkan Perserikatan Arsitek Internasional. Dengan memiliki standar kompetensi, arsitek diharapkan dapat merancang bangunan, khususnya dalam kasus ini, rumah tinggal, didasari atas pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap kerja sesuai dengan unjuk kerja yang disyaratkan.

Housing is one of the basic human needs besides food and clothing. As one of the basic needs, it is important to have a safe and comfortable home. Architect as a designer needs to understand and fulfil architect competency standards in carrying out their profession. Architect competency standards consist of 13 points that are compiled by the Indonesian Architect Association (IAI) based on the International Association of Architects. By having competency standards, architects are expected to be able to design buildings, especially in this case, residential houses, based on knowledge, skills, and work attitudes in accordance with the required work performance.
