Abstract

Laporan proyek ini membahas 13 aspek kompetensi arsitek yang melibatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap penting dalam praktik arsitektur. Standar kompetensi ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kemampuan yang diharapkan dari arsitek yang profesional dan berkualitas tinggi. Butir-butir standar kompetensi ini mencakup pemahaman tentang konsep arsitektur, desain, tata letak dan fungsi bangunan, bahan dan teknologi konstruksi, sistem struktur bangunan, kemampuan dalam menggambar dan representasi visual, kemampuan komunikasi, analisis dan evaluasi, perencanaan dan pengelolaan proyek, adaptasi dengan perkembangan teknologi, pemahaman prinsip keberlanjutan dan ramah lingkungan, etika profesional, serta kemampuan berpikir kritis dan inovatif. Standar kompetensi ini menjadi pedoman dalam pendidikan arsitektur dan dalam menilai kinerja seorang arsitek dalam praktik profesionalnya. Dengan menguasai standar kompetensi ini, seorang arsitek dapat memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam menciptakan bangunan yang memiliki fungsi, estetika, dan berkelanjutan. Dalam laporan ini, akan dibahas dua proyek perancangan yang masing-masing mengacu pada 13 butir kompetensi arsitek tersebut. Proyek pertama adalah perancangan rumah tinggal, yang memerlukan pemahaman tentang kebutuhan penghuni, desain yang ergonomis, dan penerapan teknologi terkini untuk meningkatkan efisiensi energi. Proyek kedua adalah perancangan bangunan komersial, yang menekankan pada aspek fungsionalitas dan daya tarik visual untuk menarik konsumen. Dalam proyek ini, arsitek harus memiliki keterampilan dalam perencanaan dan pengelolaan proyek yang efektif, serta mempertimbangkan faktor keberlanjutan dalam penggunaan bahan dan sumber daya. Kedua proyek ini menunjukkan pentingnya menguasai standar kompetensi arsitek dalam menciptakan bangunan yang memenuhi berbagai persyaratan dan menghadapi tantangan yang berbeda. Dengan menerapkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap yang tepat, seorang arsitek dapat sukses dalam praktik profesionalnya dan memberikan kontribusi berarti dalam industri arsitektur

This project report discusses 13 aspects of architect competence that involve important knowledge, skills and attitudes in architectural practice. This competency standard aims to describe the capabilities expected of a professional and high-quality architect. These standard competency items cover an understanding of architectural concepts, design, layout and function of buildings, construction materials and technology, building structural systems, ability to draw and visual representation, communication skills, analysis and evaluation, project planning and management, adaptation to technological developments, understanding the principles of sustainability and environmental friendliness, professional ethics, and the ability to think critically and innovatively. These competency standards serve as guidelines in architectural education and in assessing the performance of an architect in his professional practice. By mastering these competency standards, an architect can make a significant contribution in creating buildings that have function, aesthetics and are sustainable. In this report, two design projects will be discussed, each referring to the architect's 13 competency points. The first project is the design of a residential house, which requires an understanding of the needs of the occupants, an ergonomic design and the application of the latest technology to improve energy efficiency. The second project is the design of a commercial building, which emphasizes functionality and visual appeal to attract consumers. In this project, the architect must have skills in effective project planning and management, as well as considering sustainability factors in the use of materials and resources. These two projects demonstrate the importance of mastering architect competency standards in creating buildings that meet different requirements and face different challenges. By applying the right knowledge, skills and attitudes, an architect can be successful in his professional practice and make a meaningful contribution to the architectural industry
