Abstract

In the protection system, the setting of OCRs must be carefully coordinated with another protective device to ensure proper operation and minimize the risk of a false trip. The coordination of OCRs involves selecting appropriate settings such as TDS and TCC curve type. However, the complexity of the system plan, especially in the industrial, required these settings to be optimized aiming to reach the optimum and reliable protection quality. Therefore, a better version of PSO called the modified particle swarm optimization algorithm (MPSO) is proposed in this paper to determine the optimum OCR setting for application in an actual industrial power system called PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang (Pusri 1B). As a result, the proposed algorithm has successfully achieved the optimum relay setting with a fast convergence compared to the basic PSO, and the setting validation based on a real system is also successfully done to see the operations and the characteristics of assigned OCRs in the protection scheme.

Dalam sistem proteksi, pengaturan OCR harus dikoordinasikan secara hati-hati dengan perangkat proteksi lain untuk memastikan pengoperasian yang tepat dan meminimalkan risiko kesalahan perjalanan. Koordinasi OCR melibatkan pemilihan pengaturan yang sesuai seperti tipe kurva TDS dan TCC. Namun, kompleksitas rencana sistem, terutama di industri, mengharuskan pengaturan ini dioptimalkan untuk mencapai kualitas perlindungan yang optimal dan andal. Oleh karena itu, versi PSO yang lebih baik yang disebut algoritma pengoptimalan kawanan partikel yang dimodifikasi (MPSO) diusulkan dalam makalah ini untuk menentukan pengaturan OCR yang optimal untuk aplikasi dalam sistem tenaga industri aktual yang disebut PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang (Pusri 1B). Hasilnya, algoritme yang diusulkan berhasil mencapai pengaturan relai optimal dengan konvergensi yang cepat dibandingkan dengan PSO dasar dan validasi pengaturan berdasarkan sistem nyata juga berhasil dilakukan untuk melihat operasi dan karakteristik OCR yang ditetapkan dalam skema proteksi.
