Abstract

The usage of smart contracts in financial and payment services serves as an example of how blockchain technology is being employed. However, there is a significant chance of theft with smart contracts. Penetration testing is required to test security since attackers can steal money by abusing the code and transferring it to their own account. The impact of penetration testing on the value of smart contracts is not yet established, though. This study focuses primarily on how the value of smart contracts is impacted by penetration testing. This study implements smart contracts using a web-based IDE and conducts penetration testing using attack vectors. Successful penetration testing implementations expose targeted smart contracts to potential exploitation. This study demonstrates that the token price is indirectly impacted by penetration testing. The results emphasize how important it is to find and fix smart contract vulnerabilities to mitigate risks and potential losses.
