Abstract

In the case at the needing of remote sensing technologies in several fields such as the application of maritime surveillance grows the needing of radar technology usage to ease doing the surveillance applications things. One of radar systems that take important roles in the operation of radar technology is transmitter system. To be functionalized as transmitter, radar has several requirements that have to be considered due to process design so it could work based on the desired radar capability specifications. One of these requirements is the needing of high output power in order to get electromagnetic signal transmitted well and it depends on primary parameters such as gain and saturation value.
The amount of power that can be transmitted from radar is such a crucial parameter and with a better transmitter system, this parameter can be realized through a proper power amplifier. At this final project, it will do several steps such planning, fixation, analysis, evaluation, and build up the design of power amplifier circuit module that would be functionalized as maritime surveillance with specifications such as the value of gain 14.5 dB, OP1dB 28.5 dBm, saturation power 30.5 dBm, and would work at 3 GHz (S-band). And also, there are some results at this final project such finishing of entire system that needed to build amplification system in form of printed circuit board (PCB).
