Abstract

Saat ini penerapan radar sebagai sistem penginderaan jauh pada pengawasan pantai semakin banyak dibutuhkan. Dalam melakukan perancangan radar, salah satu sistem yang perlu dibangun adalah rangkaian pada sistem receiver radar. Dalam sistem receiver radar, rangkaian diperlukan untuk dapat menerima dan menyaring sinyal informasi dengan kualitas yang dapat dipahami oleh pengolah sinyal radar. Untuk itu pada sistem rangkaian receiver radar diperlukan selektivitas yang baik, daya sinyal yang tinggi dan noise yang rendah. Agar sinyal yang diterima dapat tersaring dengan baik, pada sistem receiver radar digunakan sebuah rangkaian frequency down-converter yang bekerja menurunkan dan melakukan selektivitas frekuensi yang diterima pada receiver. Pada tugas akhir ini dilakukan perancangan sistem rangkaian frequency down-converter 2 tahap jenis IF sampling untuk memperoleh sensitivitas dan selektivitas receiver yang baik. Sistem rangkaian frequency down-converter dua tahap yang dirancang untuk bekerja dengan menerima sinyal frekuensi 3GHz dikonversikan bertahap menjadi 200MHz hingga tahap konversi kedua menjadi 20MHz. Perancangan sistem rangkaian dilakukan dalam bentuk pemilihan komponen penyusun, analisis simulasi karakteristik sistem hingga simulasi desain layout PCB. sistem rangkaian yang dirancang pada modul terdiri dari beberapa komponen RF yaitu filter, mixer, direct coupler, power splitter dan gain block amplifier. Hasil yang didapati berdasarkan penelitian ini adalah sistem rangkaian telah dapat menghasilkan keluaran output spektrum frekuensi 20MHz dengan karakteristik rangkaian memiliki besaran gain daya 8.48dB, noise figure 15.81dB. Hasil rancangan rangkaian dibangun dalam bentuk desain layout PCB 4-layer yang menggunakan substrat ROGERS R04350B dan FR-4 Perpreg, menggunakan saluran transmits CPWG dengan impedansi karakteristik 53 Ohm.

Currently, the application of radar as a remote sensing system in coastal surveillance is increasingly needed. When designing the radar, one of the systems that need to be built is a circuit design of radar receiver system. In the radar receiver system, the circuit is required to be able to receive and filter information signals with tolerable quality so it can be processed in radar signal processor. For this reason, the radar receiver circuit system requires good selectivity, high signal power, and low noise. In order for the received signal to be filtered properly, the radar receiver system uses a frequency down-converter circuit that works to reduce and select the frequency received at the receiver. In this final project, a 2-stage IF sampling type frequency down-converter circuit system is designed to obtain good receiver sensitivity and selectivity. The two-stage frequency down-converter circuit system is designed to work by receiving 3GHz frequency signals converted gradually to 200MHz until the second conversion stage to 20MHz. The design of the circuit system is carried out in the form of selection of constituent components, simulation analysis of system characteristics to PCB layout design simulation. The circuit system designed in the module consists of several RF components namely filter, mixer, direct coupler, power splitter and gain block amplifier. The result obtained based on this research is that the circuit system has been able to produce 20MHz frequency spectrum output with circuit characteristics having a power gain of 8.48dB, noise figure of 15.81dB. The circuit design results are built in the form of a 4-layer PCB layout design using ROGERS R04350B and FR-4 Perpreg substrates, using a CPWG transmits channel with a characteristic impedance of 53 Ohms.
