Abstract
Dalam memastikan kontinuitas hasil produksi, dibutuhkan sistem tenaga listrik yang handal. Proses penyaluran listrik harus tetap terjaga agar kontinuitas proses produksi tetap dapat berjalan. PT Pupuk Kujang mengalami gangguan symphathetic trip yang merupakan gangguan yang banyak terjadi akibat adanya hubung singkat satu fasa ke tanah. Saat terjadi gangguan ini, akan terdapat kontribusi arus kapasitif dari line discharging saluran panjang yang dikandung penyulang tidak terganggu (penyulang sehat) akan mengalir menuju titik gangguan serta melalui rele tanah atau ground fault relay penyulang sehat. Sympathetic trip yang terjadi pada feeder 52-2’ diduga akibat adanya kegagalan koordinasi rele pengaman yang tidak mempertimbangkan adanya arus kapasitif line discharging saluran akibat gangguan hubung singkat yang terjadi pada feeder 52-3’. Kontribusi arus sisa line discharging saluran sepanjang 2 km yang mengalir pada feeder 52-2’ akibat gangguan satu fasa ke tanah pada feeder 52-3’ sebesar 15,77 A. Hal ini yang menyebabkan rele pada feeder 52-2’ trip dan menghambat suplai daya listrik menuju GPA Housing. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan analisa penyebab terjadinya sympathetic trip pada PT Pupuk Kujang dan evaluasi setting koordinasi proteksi rele arus lebih gangguan fasa dan ground dengan memperhatikan grading arus dan waktu ketika keadaan normal atau gangguan. Pada tugas akhir ini, evaluasi setting koordinasi proteksi dilakukan pada pabrik K1A, pabrik Urea 1A, Formicc Acid Plant, dan GPA Housing dengan sumber Generator serta pabrik K1B dengan sumber PLN. Hasil evaluasi koordinasi proteksi ini dapat melindungi sistem dari gangguan arus lebih akibat gangguan beban lebih atau gangguan hubung singkat. Upaya yang diperoleh untuk menghindari terjadinya sympathetic trip kembali dengan setting ground fault relay feeder 52-2’ sebesar 20 A, sehingga gangguan pada salah satu pabrik dapat cepat teriolasi.

To ensure the reliability of production results, a good electric power system is needed. The distribution of electricity must be maintained to maintain production continuity. At the moment PT. Pupuk Kujang had a sympathetic trip. A sympathetic trip is a fault that occurs due to a line to ground short circuit. When the fault occurs, there will be a capacitive residual current line discharging from the long cable contained by the uninterrupted feeder or the good feeder which will flow to the fault point and through the ground fault relay in good feeder. The sympathetic trip that occurs in 52-2’ feeder is thought to be due to failure in the coordination of the relay which doesn’t consider the presence of capacitive residual current line discharging due to short circuit fault that occur in 52-2’ feeder. The contribution of the capacitive residual current line discharging along the 2 km cable in the 52-2’ feeder due to ground fault in the 52-3’ feeder is 15,77 A. It causes the relay in the 52-2’ to trip and blocked the supply of electrical power to the GPA Housing. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the causes of a sympathetic trip at PT Pupuk Kujang and evaluate the coordination setting on the phase and ground fault overcurrent relay protection by considering the grading current and grading time values during normal or fault conditions. In this thesis, evaluation of the protection coordination settings is carried out at the K1 Factory, Urea 1A Factory, Formicc Acid Plant, and GPA Housing with Generator sources and K1B Factory with PLN sources. The results of this protection coordination evaluation can protect the system from overcurrent fault due to overload or short circuit currents. The efforts obtained to prevent sympathetic trip back with ground fault relay 52-2’ feeder setting as 20 A, so that fault in the factory can be isolated from other factories.
