Abstract

Fungsi dari sistem proteksi dalam sebuah pembangkit listrik untuk mengamankan peralatan listrik agar tidak terjadi error/malfungsi yang diakibatkan oleh gangguan. Selain itu, sistem proteksi juga berfungsi untuk mendeteksi gangguan hubung singkat dalam peralatan listrik. Tujuan adanya sebuah sistem proteksi untuk mewujudkan sistem listrik yang handal di suatu pembangkit. PJB Muara Karang Blok III merupakan sebuah pembangkit listrik yang baru dibangun sekitar tahun 2020 yang terletak di Jakarta Utara. PJB Muara Karang dapat dikatakan pembangkit yang vital karena berperan penting dalam pembangkitan listrik di daerah Jakarta Utara. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya pemilihan alat proteksi yang tepat dalam proses pembangkitannya. Alasan pemilihan alat proteksi harus yang tepat karena apabila terdapat gangguan pada sistem kelistrikan, maka gangguannya tidak berdampak besar. Dengan demikian, dibutuhkan sebuah studi analisis dan evaluasi terhadap alat pengaman di PT. PJB Muara Karang Blok III. Di dalam tugas akhir telah dilakukan analisis dan evaluasi terhadap rele pengaman di PJB Muara Karang Blok III. Analisa di tugas akhir ini akan berfokus pada setting koordinasi rele arus lebih fasa, LVCB, dan rele arus lebih ground yang tepat. Dari data yang didapat dari koordinasi proteksi kurva rele pengaman eksisting ditemukan bahwa PT. PJB Muara Karang Blok III belum memperhatikan grading time. Terdapat grading time yang diatas 0,4 s pada rele 214, rele 14, rele 2, rele M-2, rele 7, dan rele 6. Selain itu, terdapat LVCB yang memiliki time delay yang sama sebesar 0,1s yaitu LVCB 93 dan LVCB L42T32. Oleh karena itu, kedua LVCB tersebut ketika terjadi gangguan akan bekerja secara bersamaan. Selain itu, ditemukan data bahwa rele arus lebih ground eksisting menggunakan kurva invers. Dengan demikian, disarankan melakukan resetting dan perlu adanya penggantian dengan kurva waktu instan (define time)

The function of a protection system in a power plant is to secure electrical equipment and prevent errors or malfunctions caused by disturbances. Additionally, the protection system also serves to detect short-circuit faults in the electrical equipment. The purpose of having a protection system is to achieve a reliable electrical system in a power plant. PJB Muara Karang Block III is a newly built power plant around 2020 located in North Jakarta. PJB Muara Karang can be considered a vital power plant as it plays a crucial role in electricity generation in the North Jakarta area. Therefore, it is necessary to select the appropriate protection equipment during the power generation process. The reason for the importance of selecting the right protection equipment is to minimize the impact of disturbances on the electrical system. Thus, a study of analysis and evaluation of the protective devices at PT. PJB Muara Karang Block III is required. The final project has conducted an analysis and evaluation of the protective relays at PJB Muara Karang Block III. The analysis in this final project will focus on the appropriate coordination settings for phase overcurrent relays, LVCB (Load Vacuum Circuit Breaker), and ground overcurrent relays. Based on the data obtained from the existing protective relay coordination, it was found that PT. PJB Muara Karang Block III has not taken grading time into account. There are grading times above 0.4 seconds for relay 214, relay 14, relay 2, relay M-2, relay 7, and relay 6. Additionally, there are LVCBs with the same time delay of 0.1 seconds, namely LVCB 93 and LVCB L42T32. As a result, these two LVCBs will operate simultaneously during a disturbance. Furthermore, it was found that the existing ground overcurrent relays use an inverse curve. Therefore, it is recommended to perform resetting and consider replacing them with an instant time curve (define time).
