Abstract

Salah satu sumber energi yang paling banyak digunakan oleh manusia adalah minyak dan gas. Pada pengolahan minyak dan gas dibutuhkan proses yang panjang dan kompleks sehingga menimbulkan risiko kecelakaan hingga ledakan pada manusia maupun lingkungan apabila terjadi kegagalan pada peralatan. Risk based inspection (RBI) merupakan suatu metode manajemen risiko untuk mengidentifikasi suatu cacat atau kerusakan peralatan untuk mengurangi dan mencegah risiko kecelakaan yang akan terjadi. Pada penilitian ini dilakukan analisa Probability of Failure (POF) dan Consequence of Failure (COF) sehingga didapatkan level risiko dari Feed Gas Cooler dan Knock Out Drum pada Biological Sulphur Recovery Unit dan ditentukan jadwal serta metode inspeksi yang sesuai dengan menggunakan metode risk based inspection. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan nilai Probability of Failure dan Consequence of Failure sehingga didapatkan level risiko pada peralatan Feed Gas Cooler bagian shell side adalah medium high pada RBI date dan plan date, bagian tube side adalah medium pada RBI date dan medium high pada plan date, dan bagian tube bundle adalah medium pada RBI date dan high pada plan date serta untuk peralatan Knock Out Drum bagian shell, top head, dan bottom head adalah low pada RBI date dan plan date. Dengan level risiko yang telah ditentukan dan usia operasional peralatan yang telah mencapai 10 tahun pada saat RBI date, maka perencanaan inspeksi jatuh pada saat tahun 2023 dengan metode inspeksi visual testing, ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, dan eddy current.

One of the most widely used sources of energy by humans is oil and gas. The processing of oil and gas requires a long and complex process, which poses risks of accidents and explosions to humans and the environment in case of equipment failure. Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) is a risk management method used to identify defects or damages in equipment to reduce and prevent the risks of accidents that may occur. In this research, an analysis of Probability of Failure (POF) and Consequence of Failure (COF) was conducted to determine the risk level of the Feed Gas Cooler and Knock Out Drum in the Biological Sulphur Recovery Unit. The appropriate inspection schedule and method have been determined using the risk-based inspection method. The results of this study obtained the Probability of Failure and Consequence of Failure values, resulting in the risk levels for the Feed Gas Cooler equipment as medium high on both RBI date and plan date for the shell side, medium on RBI date, and medium high on the plan date for the tube side, and medium on RBI date and high on the plan date for the tube bundle. As for the Knock Out Drum equipment, the risk levels are low on both RBI date and plan date for the shell, top head, and bottom head. With the determined risk levels and the operational age of the equipment, which has reached 10 years at the RBI date, the inspection planning falls in the year 2023, using the visual testing, ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, and eddy current inspection methods.
