Abstract
Siam Maspion Terminal.

Mireng River is in the Gresik district and empties into the Madura Strait. The Mireng River estuary is a place to find people's livelihoods, such as fishing, mangrove tourism, and the industrial sector. Around the Mireng River estuary are two industrial estates, namely JIIPE (Java Integrated Industrial Port and Estate) and PT Siam Maspion Terminal. Both industrial areas are planned to carry out reclamation to overcome the problem of shrinking space. The interaction of ocean dynamics and the environment due to reclamation activities can change current patterns, wave heights, and sedimentation processes, which are feared to affect community activities around the Mireng River estuary. This Final Project will discuss changes in hydrodynamics and sedimentation conditions due to reclamation around the Mireng River estuary. Modeling is done using Delft3D software. The modeling results obtained current patterns and velocities that occur before and after reclamation have changed. There is a decrease in wave height at observation points 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, and 10 due to reclamation obstruction. As for sedimentation, the existing condition amounted to 9719 m3 for one year and the highest reclamation condition sedimentation occurred in model scenario 4 of 22,195 m3 for one year. Efforts to mitigate environmental impacts due to reclamation can be made with the sediment trap and capital dredging methods. Sediment Traps can reduce sedimentation by 36% for one year and the predicted time to re-dredge in 10 years.
