Abstract

In an industrial system, maintaining the continuity of production levels is one aspect that needs attention. PT. Sasa Inti Gending Probolinggo, which is a leading food and seasoning company in Indonesia, gets its electricity supply from PLN and two Gas Turbine Generators with a power capacity of 6 MW each. As a big factory, PT. Sasa Inti requires high power system reliability in carrying out packing processes, logistics processes, and other industrial processes. In the electrical system of PT. Sasa Inti Gending Probolinggo, it is not uncommon for disturbances to interrupt the continuity of the power supply. To be able to provide continuous production services, the electric power system must be able to overcome various kinds of fault that may occur. Therefore, the coordination of the protection system has an important role in maintaining the reliability of the electric power system. In this study will be discussed about the coordination of protection at PT. Sasa Inti Gending Probolinggo through system modeling in ETAP 12.6 software. This research will focus on calculating and setting the overcurrent relay setting and fault relay to ground. The simulation results show that good protection coordination can protect equipment from overcurrent disturbances. With this research, it is hoped that it can be a consideration for PT. Sasa Inti Gending Probolinggo in overcoming the problem of protection of its electrical system.
