Abstract

Sampah merupakan salah satu permasalahan di Desa Kemiri. Bank sampah merupakan solusi dalam mengendalikan permasalahan sampah, utamanya dengan melibatkan peran perempuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran komunitas perempuan di Desa Kemiri dalam pengelolaan sampah, serta dampaknya terhadap lingkungan dan perekonomian keluarga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkap bahwa komunitas perempuan di Desa Kemiri memainkan peran penting dalam memilah, mengurangi, dan mendaur ulang sampah rumah tangga. komunitas perempuan di Desa Kemiri tersebut juga berperan dalam edukasi keluarga dan masyarakat tentang pentingnya pengelolaan sampah yang baik. Peran perempuan ini tidak hanya memberikan dampak positif terhadap lingkungan, tetapi juga berkontribusi pada upaya peningkatan ekonomi keluarga meskipun tidak secara signifikan. Penelitian ini dapat memberikan manfaat untuk keilmuan Departemen Studi Pembangunan khususnya dalam bidang peran perempuan dalam pengelolaan lingkungan serta bagi masyarakat setempat dalam mengurangi permasalahan sampah.

Waste is one of the problems in Kemiri Village. Waste banks are a solution in controlling the waste problem, especially by involving the role of women. This research aims to explore the role of the women's community in Kemiri Village in waste management, as well as its impact on the environment and family economy. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The results of this study reveal that the women's community in Kemiri Village plays an important role in sorting, reducing, and recycling household waste. The women's community in Kemiri Village also plays a role in educating families and communities about the importance of good waste management. The role of these women not only has a positive impact on the environment, but also contributes to efforts to improve the family economy, although not significantly. This research can provide benefits to the knowledge of the Department of Development Studies, especially in the field of women's roles in environmental management and for the local community in reducing waste problems.
