Abstract

Perubahan iklim saat ini menuntut perhatian karena pemanasan global akibat peningkatan emisi Gas Rumah Kaca (GRK) dari sektor energi transportasi darat. Salah satu upaya mengurangi emisi karbon dari aktivitas transportasi di perkotaan adalah menerapkan konsep Low Emission Zone (LEZ) dengan didukung lingkungan binaan yang mendorong perjalanan non-motorized. Lingkungan binaan diidentifikasi dengan pendekatan komponen 3D (Density, Diversity, Design). Kawasan Surabaya Pusat memiliki potensi menerapkan konsep LEZ, namun sebelumnya perlu diidentifikasi lingkungan binaan dan keterkaitannya terhadap produksi emisi dari perilaku perjalanan masyarakatnya. Oleh karena itu, studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterkaitan komponen 3D terhadap produksi emisi karbon dari aktivitas transportasi masyarakat di Kawasan Surabaya Pusat. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis korelasi dan regresi linear berganda. Analisis korelasi digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi pola keterkaitan komponen 3D dengan perilaku perjalanan masyarakat di Kawasan Surabaya Pusat. Sementara itu, analisis regresi linear berganda digunakan untuk menganalisis keterkaitan produksi emisi karbon dengan perilaku perjalanan serta mengestimasi produksi emisi karbon di Kawasan Surabaya Pusat. Selanjutnya, analisis regresi linear berganda digunakan untuk menganalisis pengaruh komponen 3D terhadap produksi emisi karbon. Hasil analisis menunjukkan korelasi signifikan antara produksi emisi karbon dengan perilaku perjalanan masyarakat Kawasan Surabaya Pusat. Variabel perilaku perjalanan yang mempengaruhi produksi emisi karbon adalah pendapatan rumah tangga, kepemilikan motor, mobil dan panjang perjalanan. Selanjutnya hasil studi menunjukkan hubungan signifikan antara perilaku perjalanan dengan komponen 3D, serta asosiasi yang signifikan antara komponen 3D dengan produksi emisi karbon di Kawasan Surabaya Pusat. Komponen 3D yang berpengaruh terhadap produksi emisi karbon adalah kepadatan penduduk, indeks land use mix dan kepadatan jalur pedestrian. Berdasarkan studi ini, diketahui terdapat keterkaitan antara perilaku perjalanan dan komponen 3D Kawasan Surabaya Pusat terhadap produksi emisi karbon dari aktivitas transportasi masyarakat. Sehingga diharapkan dalam upaya penurunan emisi karbon dari sektor transportasi dapat mengembangkan LEZ yang mempertimbangkan komponen 3D dan kebijakan terhadap perilaku perjalanan di Kawasan Surabaya Pusat.

Climate change demands attention due to global warming caused by the increasing emissions of Greenhouse Gases (GHGs) from the energy and land transportation sectors. One of the strategies to reduce carbon emissions from urban transportation activities is implementing the concept of the Low Emission Zone (LEZ) supported by a built environment that encourages non-motorized travel. The built environment is identified through the 3D (Density, Diversity, Design) approach. The City Center of Surabaya has the potential to apply the LEZ concept, but prior identification of the built environment and its connection to emission production from the community's travel behavior is necessary. Therefore, this study aims to examine the correlation of the 3D components with carbon emission production from community transportation activities in the City Center of Surabaya. The analysis methods employed include correlation analysis and multiple linear regression. Correlation analysis is utilized to identify patterns of connection between the 3D components and community travel behavior in the City Center of Surabaya. Meanwhile, multiple linear regression is employed to analyze the association between carbon emission production and travel behavior, as well as estimate the carbon emission production in the City Center of Surabaya. Furthermore, multiple linear regression is used to analyze the influence of the 3D components on carbon emission production. The results of the analysis show a significant correlation between carbon emission production and community travel behavior in the City Center of Surabaya. Variables affecting carbon emission production include household income, motorbike ownership, car ownership, and travel distance. The study also reveals a significant relationship between travel behavior and the 3D components, along with a significant association between the 3D components and carbon emission production in the City Center of Surabaya. The 3D components that influence carbon emission production are population density, land use mix index, and pedestrian pathway density. Based on this study, it is evident that there is a connection between travel behavior and the 3D components in the City Center of Surabaya, affecting carbon emission production from transportation activities within the community. Consequently, in the efforts to reduce carbon emissions from the transportation sector, it is essential to develop an LEZ considering the 3D components and policies related to travel behavior in the City Center of Surabaya.
