Abstract

PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali UP Muara Tawar merupakan anak perusahaan dari PLN (Persero) yang termasuk penyuplai energi listrik di Jawa Bali dengan suplai lebih dari 500 MW. Perusahaan ini perlu adanya suatu sistem proteksi listrik dengan koordinasi proteksi listrik yang andal untuk mencegah terjadinya kegagalan akibat gangguan gangguan kelistrikan. Dalam melakukan koordinasi pengaman diperlukan adanya pengaturan rele yang tepat ketika terjadi gangguan hubung singkat. Dilakukan evaluasi waktu tunda rele utama dan rele cadangan sehingga urutan waktu trip terkoordinasi dengan baik diamati dengan kurva TCC. Selain itu dilakukan juga perhitungan insinden energi akibat adanya busur api (arc flash) dan lama terjadinya busur api saat pemutus tenaga membuka dan diihitung jarak aman bagi pekerja diwilayah kerjanya. Perhitungan mengacu pada stanad IEEE 1584-2002 dan NFPA 70 E-2009. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, insiden energi mengalami kenaikan dan pennurunan. Kenaikan tertinggi dengan selisih 6,625 cal/cm2 dan penurunan sebesar 52,322 cal/cm2 .Dari perhitungan insiden energi dan jarak aman dapat ditentukan model PPE yang digunakan di area kerja sesuai standar NFPA 70 E-2009. Dalam pengerjaan tugas akhir ini diperlukan perangkat lunak ETAP 19.0

PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali UP Muara Tawar is a subsidiary of PLN (Persero) that serves as an electricity supplier in Java Bali with a supply of more than 500 MW. The company requires a reliable electrical protection system with coordinated protection to prevent failures caused by electrical disturbances. In performing protection coordination, proper relay settings are needed when a short circuit occurs. An evaluation of the main relay and backup relay time delay is conducted to ensure a well-coordinated trip sequence, observed with the Time-Current Characteristic (TCC) curve. Additionally, calculations are also performed for incident energy due to arc flash and the duration of the arc flash when the power breakers open, determining a safe distance for workers in their work areas. These calculations adhere to the IEEE 1584-2002 and NFPA 70 E-2009 standards. Based on the evaluation results, the incident energy experiences both an increase and a decrease. The highest increase is by a difference of 6.625 cal/cm2, while the decrease amounts to 52.322 cal/cm2. From the incident energy calculations and safe distances, the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) model can be determined for the work area according to the NFPA 70 E-2009 standard. The software ETAP 19.0 is required for this final project.
