Abstract
Kebutuhan pupuk di Indonesia setiap tahun terus meningkat selaras dengan semakinintensif program ektensifikasi pertanian. Pupuk NPK dapat digunakan dan sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan pemanfaatan sejumlah besar unsur hara yaitu nitrogen, fosfor dan kalium. Proses produksi pupuk NPK dilakukan dengan metode Mixed Acid Route. Pabrik dengan kapasitas 510.000 ton/tahun ini akan didirikan di Paciran, Kabupaten Lamongan, Jawa Timur pada tahun 2028. Proses pembuatan pupuk NPK diawali dengan pencampuran bahan baku padat (Urea, ZA, KCl) dengan bahan baku cair (amoniak, asam fosfat, asam sulfat) dalam reaktor dan membentuk butiran granul pada granulator. Selanjutnya pengeringan menggunakan rotary dryer. Produk onsize didapatkan melalui pemisahan dengan menggunakan screen. Tahap selanjutnya pendinginan dilakukan dengan rotary cooler. Tahap pelapisan menggunakan coater drum dengan coating oil dan coating powder. Pabrik ini dirancang beroperasi secara kontinu selama 300 hari/tahun dengan basis waktu kerja 24 jam/hari. Kebutuhan bahan baku yang digunakan adalah 236,11 ton/hari NH3, 473,41 ton/hari H3PO4, 414,24 ton/hari H2SO4, 17 ton/hari CO(NH2)2, 259,69 ton/hari (NH4)2SO4, 425 ton/hari KCl, coating powder & oil masing-masing sebesar 1,201 ton/hari. Pada pabrik pupuk NPK ini membutuhkan Fixed Capital Rp. 1.334.914.138.191, Working Capital sebesar Rp. 235.573.083.210. Analisis ekonomi pabrik pupuk NPK ini menunjukkan nilai Internal Rate of Return (IRR)sebesar 34,95%. Waktu pengembalian modal (Pay Out Time, POT) yaitu selama 3,4 tahun atau 3 tahun 5 bulan. Dan nilai Net Present Value (NPV) sebesar Rp. 1.294.142.666.358. Berdasarkan data analisis ekonomi tersebut, pabrik pupuk NPK dengan metode Mixed Acid Route ini layak untuk didirikan.

The need for fertilizer in Indonesia continues to increase every year in line with the more intensive agricultural extension programs. NPK fertilizer can be used and is very effective in increasing the utilization of a large number of nutrients namely nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The NPK fertilizer production process is carried out using the Mixed Acid Route method. The factory with a capacity of 510.000 tons/year will be built in Paciran, Lamongan Regency, East Java in 2028. The process of making NPK fertilizer is mixing solid raw materials (Urea, ZA, KCl) with liquid raw materials (NH3, H2SO4, H3PO4) in a reactor and forming granules in the granulator. Then drying by rotary dryer. After that, the onsize product is obtained by separating it with a screen. The cooling stage is carried out with a rotary cooler. Coating stage using coater drum with coating oil and coating powder. The factory is designed to operate continuously for 300 days/year and working 24 hours/day. The raw material requirements used are 236.11 tons/day NH3, 473.41 tons/day H3PO4, 414.24 tons/day H2SO4, 17 tons/day CO(NH2)2, 259.69 tons/day (NH4)2SO4 , 425 tons/day KCl, coating powder & oil each of 1.201 tons/day. In this NPK factory requires fixed capital Rp. 1.334.914.138.191, working capital of Rp. 235.573.083.210. The economic analysis of the NPK fertilizer factory shows an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) value of 34,95%. The pay out time (POT) is 3,4 years or 3 years and 5 months. And the Net Present Value (NVP) value is Rp. 1.294.142.666.358. Based on the economic analysis data, this NPK fertilizer plant using the Mixed Acid Route method is feasible to establish.
