Abstract

In the Indonesian oil business, floating small refinery oil plants have become an appealing option. With rising demand for locally processed oil products, the development of a 20,000 BPH floating micro oil refinery plant in Indonesia has emerged as a prominent topic in attempts to attain energy independence. The goal of this research is to pre-design an efficient and optimal floating small oil refinery plant while taking into account the particular conditions and requirements of Indonesia. Technical and economic elements will be evaluated in this study, including the selection of purification technique, the size and number of equipment, supporting infrastructure, and an examination of raw material supply and final product distribution. The method employed is data collection on market needs and regulatory requirements. The collected data on consumer demands and regulatory requirements in Indonesia, as well as a study of refining technology relevant to the scale and capacity of the planned micro refinery plant, are employed in the technique. Furthermore, this analysis will take into account economic variables such as expected investment expenses, operations, and profit predictions over a specific time period. The results of this pre-design should provide detailed insight into the feasibility of establishing a floating small oil refinery facility in Indonesia. This plant is expected to deliver excellent oil products at competitive prices, thereby boosting energy independence and the growth of the domestic oil sector, taking into account technological, economic, and environmental factors.
