Abstract

Besarnya potensi kopi di Kecamatan Ulubelu, Kabupaten Tanggamus, Provinsi Lampung menjadikan kopi sebagai komoditas yang banyak dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat dalam memenuhi kebutuhannya. Kepemilikan modal menjadi salah satu aspek yang perlu diperhatikan dalam mewujudkan kesejahteraan. Modal sosial sebagai salah satu aspek modal memiliki pengertian adanya kepemilikan hubungan sosial berupa partisipasi, jaringan, kepercayaan, nilai, dan norma. Modal sosial bagi petani diwujudkan dalam bentuk kelompok petani dalam menjembatani kesejahteraan petani kopi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peran modal sosial kepercayaan, partisipasi, jaringan, nilai, dan norma dalam mewujudkan kesejahteraan petani kopi di Kecamatan Ulubelu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus, dengan kelompok Sido Rukun 1 sebagai objek dalam penelitian ini. Kelompok tersebut berlokasi di Pekon Ngarip, Kecamatan Ulubelu. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui Focus Group Discussion, wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi yang kemudian dilakukan pengujian keabsahan data dengan teknik trianggulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kelompok Sido Rukun 1 memiliki modal sosial yang terdiri atas komponen partisipasi, jaringan, kepercayaan, nilai dan norma. Modal sosial yang dimiliki oleh kelompok Sido Rukun 1 memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan anggota kelompok. Peran modal sosial berupa adanya kemudahan bagi petani untuk mendapatkan akses, peningkatan pengetahuan dan kapasitas, kualitas biji kopi terbaik, dan adanya kesempatan untuk mendapatkan pendapatan lebih dan pemenuhan kebutuhan yang dipenuhi bersama.

The large potential of coffee in Ulubelu District, Tanggamus Regency, Lampung Province makes coffee a commodity that is widely used by the community to meet their needs. Ownership of capital is one aspect that needs to be considered in realizing prosperity. Social capital as an aspect of capital has the notion of ownership of social relations in the form of participation, networks, trust, values, and norms. Social capital for farmers is realized in the form of farmer groups in bridging the welfare of coffee farmers. Therefore, this study aims to look at the role of social capital of trust, participation, network, values, and norms in realizing the welfare of coffee farmers in Ulubelu District. This research uses a case study approach, with the Sido Rukun 1 group as the object of this study. The group is located in Pekon Ngarip, Ulubelu District. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out through Focus Group Discussions, in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation which were then tested for data validity using technical triangulation techniques. The results of the study show that the Sido Rukun 1 group has social capital consisting of components of participation, network, trust, values and norms. The social capital owned by the Sido Rukun 1 group has an important role in improving the welfare of group members. The role of social capital is in the form of making it easy for farmers to gain access, increasing knowledge and capacity, the best quality coffee beans, and the opportunity to earn more income and meet shared needs.
