Abstract

Kali Mas Surabaya merupakan pecahan Kali Surabaya yang digunakan sebagai saluran drainase atau pengairan oleh masyarakat Surabaya. Aktivitas manusia seperti kegiatan domestik, kegiatan industri maupun kegiatan pertanian dapat mengakibatkan pencemaran pada perairan terutama pada Kali Mas Surabaya. Salah satu limbah pembuangan industri yang dapat ditemukan pada sistem perairan adalah limbah farmasi seperti asetaminofen. Selain limbah industri, kegiatan domestik juga menghasilkan limbah yang mempengaruhi kualitas air, yaitu nutrien (N dan P). Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penelitian untuk mengidentifikasi potensi sumber pencemar yang berkontribusi pada pencemaran asetaminofen dan mengetahui konsentrasi asetaminofen dan nutrien (N dan P) pada hilir Kali Mas Surabaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengkaji aspek teknis berupa sampling dan analisis sampel. Data yang digunakan berupa data primer seperti observasi dan dokumentasi, sedangkan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari literatur, peraturan yang berlaku, text book, tugas akhir, tesis, prosiding dan skripsi yang mendukung penelitian. Pengolahan data yang digunakan menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Pada penelitian ini, metode analisis yang digunakan untuk mengetahui kadar asetaminofen adalah menggunakan metode analisis HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography). Sedangkan untuk mengetahui kadar nutrien (N dan P) menggunakan metode analisis Spektrofotometer UV-Vis.
Mengacu pada hasil penelitian, tidak dapat dipastikan bahwa alur penyebaran dan sumber pencemar asetaminofen di hilir Kali Mas Surabaya berasal dari kegiatan domestik, apotek dan fasilitas kesehatan, sehingga perlu penelitian lebih lanjut untuk mengetahui sumber potensi pencemar di hilir Kali Mas Surabaya. Baku mutu air sungai diatur pada Lampiran VI Peraturan Pemerintah Republik Indonesia Nomor 22 Tahun 2021. Dari tiga hari pengambilan sampel, ditemukan parameter fosfat yang melebihi baku mutu air kelas II. Sedangkan parameter pH, suhu, dan nitrat masih memenuhi baku mutu air kelas II. Sedangkan parameter asetaminofen ditemukan selama 3 hari pengambilan sampel air di hilir Kali Mas Surabaya dengan rata-rata sebesar 333 µg/L.

Kali Mas Surabaya is a fragment of Kali Surabaya which is used as a drainage channel or irrigation by the Surabaya community. Human activities such as domestic activities, industrial activities and agricultural activities can cause pollution in waters, especially in Kali Mas Surabaya. One of the industrial disposal waste that can be found in the water system is pharmaceutical waste such as acetaminophen. In addition to industrial waste, domestic activities also produce waste that affects water quality, namely nutrients (N and P). Therefore, a study was conducted to identify potential pollutant sources that contribute to acetaminophen pollution and to determine the concentration of acetaminophen and nutrients (N and P) in the downstream of Kali Mas Surabaya. This research was conducted by examining technical aspects such as sampling and sample analysis. The data used were primary data such as observation and documentation, while secondary data obtained from literature, applicable regulations, text books, final assignments, theses, proceedings and theses that support the research. Data processing uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. In this study, the analytical method used to determine the levels of acetaminophen is using the HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) analysis method. Meanwhile, to determine nutrient levels (N and P) using the UV-Vis Spectrophotometer analysis method.
Referring to the results of the study, it cannot be confirmed that the distribution flow and source of acetaminophen pollutants in the downstream of Kali Mas Surabaya came from domestic activities, pharmacies and health facilities, so further research is needed to determine the potential sources of pollutants in the downstream of Kali Mas Surabaya. River water quality standards are regulated in Appendix VI of Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 22 of 2021. From three days of sampling, the phosphate parameter was found to exceed the class II water quality standard. While the pH, temperature, and nitrate parameters still meet the class II water quality standards. While the acetaminophen parameter was found during 3 days of water sampling in the downstream of Kali Mas Surabaya with an average of 333 µg/L.
