Abstract
Aluminium 6061 merupakan paduan Al-Mg-Si bersifat ringan, mampu tempa, dan tahan korosi. Aluminium 6061 biasa digunakan untuk keperluan rumah tangga, pesawat terbang, suku cadang mobil, dll. Anodizing adalah metode pelapisan dengan cara membentuk lapisan oksida pada permukaan bertujuan untuk protektif dan dekoratif. Anodizing biasa diaplikasikan pada kehidupan sehari-hari seperti jendela dan suku cadang otomotif seperti velg serta frame sepeda. Tahapan proses anodizing terdiri dari beberapa tahap yaitu cleaning, desmutt, DFAL, desmutt, anodizing, dyeing, dan sealing. Proses penelitian ini menggunakan material aluminium 6061 sebagai anoda dan Plat Pb sebagai katoda, menggunakan larutan elektrolit asam sulfat (H2SO4) konsentrasi 20%, dengan melakukan variasi proses anodizing terhadap temperatur anodizing (10℃, ruang ± 30℃, dan 50℃) dan variasi waktu anodizing selama (10 menit, 15 menit, 20 menit, 25 menit, dan 30 menit). Pengujian yang dilakukan yaitu ketebalan lapisan menggunakan Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) dan pengujian sifat isolatif dengan Megger Test untuk memastikan bahwa produk hasil anodizing aman digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan ketebalan lapisan terbaik dan optimal pada anodizing temperatur 10℃ sebesar 3,004 µm pada waktu anodizing selama 30 menit, temperatur anodizing ruang ± 30℃ sebesar 12,2 µm pada waktu anodizing selama 20 menit, dan temperatur anodizing 50℃ dengan ketebalan lapisan sebesar 14,44 µm pada waktu anodizing 20 menit. Sehingga semakin tinggi temperatur anodizing dan semakin lama waktu anodizing maka akan membentuk nilai ketebalan lapisan semakin tinggi. Namun apabila sudah melampaui titik optimal maka ketebalan lapisan akan menurun. Dari hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dari hasil analisa dapat mendukung UMKM penyedia jasa anodizing serta dapat mengembangkan variasi terkait temperature anodizing dan waktu anodizing untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk hasil anodizing.

Aluminum 6061 is an Al-Mg-Si alloy that is light, malleable and corrosion resistant. Aluminum 6061 is commonly used for household, aircraft, auto parts, etc. Anodizing is a coating method by forming an oxide layer on the surface for protective and decorative purposes. Anodizing is commonly applied to everyday life such as windows and automotive components such as bicycle wheels and frames. The stages of the anodizing process consist of several stages, namely cleaning, desmutt, DFAL, desmutt, anodizing, dyeing, and sealing. The research process used aluminum 6061 as the anode and Pb plate as the cathode, using a sulfuric acid electrolyte solution (H2SO4) with a concentration of 20%, by varying the anodizing process at anodizing temperature (10℃, room ± 30℃, and 50℃) and variation of anodizing time during (10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 25 minutes, and 30 minutes). The tests carried out are coating thickness using a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and testing insulation properties with the Megger Test to ensure that the anodizing product is safe to use in everyday life. The results of this study show that the best and optimal coating thickness at anodizing temperature of 10℃ is 3,004 µm with anodizing time 30 minutes, anodizing temperature of ± 30℃ is 12,2 µm with anodizing time 20 minutes, and anodizing temperature of 50℃ with coating thickness of 14,44 µm at anodizing time 20 minutes. So that the higher temperature and longer anodizing time, the higher coating thickness value will form. However, if it has exceeded the optimal point, the coating thickness will decrease. From the result of this study it is hoped that the results of the analysis can support UKM providers of anodizing services and can develop variations related to anodizing temperature and time anodizing to improve the quality of anodizing products.
