Abstract

Industri perhotelan memberikan dampak yang cukup besar terhadap lingkungan. Aktivitas hotel menghasilkan air limbah dalam jumlah yang banyak. Setiap jenis pengolahan air limbah berpotensi mengemisikan gas rumah kaca. Permasalahan yang sering terjadi pada unit proses pengolahan air limbah sering kali diabaikan. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan adanya analisis dan identifikasi dampak lingkungan pengolahan air limbah perhotelan dengan menggunakan metode Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). Selain itu, juga diperlukan analisis penentuan alternatif untuk meminimalisir dampak tersebut dengan metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Metode LCA terpilih pada penelitian ini karena mampu menganalisis dampak lingkungan pada semua tahapan dalam siklus hidup suatu produk. Adapun output dari analisis ini adalah dampak lingkungan secara kuantitatif. Hasil analisis tersebut nantinya akan menjadi pertimbangan untuk menentukan alternatif pengurangan dampak serta pengembangan aktivitas pengolahan air limbah. Adapun prioritas alternatif ditentukan dengan metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Data pada metode ini nantinya akan diperoleh dari data primer berupa kuesioner. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat mengidentifikasi dampak lingkungan yang dihasilkan oleh proses pengolahan air limbah serta menentukan metode pengurangan dampak dan alternatif pengolahan terbaiknya. Hasil dari analisis ini adalah dampak lingkungan pada tiga kategori dampak, yaitu Global Warming sebesar 820,38 kg CO2 into air-eq/hari, Non-renewable Energy sebesar 147.547,01 MJ/hari, dan Aquatic Acidification sebesar 1.864,51 kg SO2 into air-eq/hari. Berdasarkan interpretasi data yang dilakukan, diperoleh kategori Resources yang memberikan dampak lingkungan terbesar. Melalui metode AHP didapatkan skenario terbaik, yaitu substitusi energi listrik yang tidak ramah lingkungan menjadi energi listrik yang ramah lingkungan dengan bobot 0,43, melakukan pengolahan air limbah saat volume pada equalizing tank mencapai volume efektif untuk dilakukan pengolahan dengan bobot 0,37, dan penambahan Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) pada kawasan IPAL X dengan bobot 0,19.

The hospitality industry has a significant impact on the environment. Hotel activities produce large quantities of wastewater. Each type of wastewater treatment has the potential to emit greenhouse gasses. Problems that often occur in wastewater treatment process units are often ignored. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze and identify the environmental impact of hotel wastewater treatment using the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method. In addition, it is also necessary to analyze the determination of alternatives to minimize these impacts using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The LCA method was chosen in this study because it is able to analyze environmental impacts at all stages in the life cycle of a product. The output of this analysis is the quantitative environmental impact. The results of the analysis will later be considered to determine alternatives to reduce impacts and develop wastewater treatment activities. The priority of alternatives is determined by the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The data in this method will be obtained from primary data in the form of questionnaires. This research is expected to identify the environmental impacts generated by the wastewater treatment process and determine the best impact reduction methods and treatment alternatives. The output of this analysis is the environmental impact on three impact categories, namely Global Warming of 820,38 kg CO2 into air-eq/day, Non- renewable Energy of 147.547,01 MJ/day, and Aquatic Acidification of 1.864,51 kg SO2 into air- eq/day. Based on the data interpretation, the Resources category with the most significant environmental impact is obtained. Through the AHP method, the best scenario is obtained, namely the substitution of electrical energy that is not environmentally friendly into electrical energy that is environmentally friendly with a weight of 0,43, carry out wastewater treatment when the volume in the equalizing tank reaches the effective volume for processing with a weight of 0,37, and the addition of Green Open Space (RTH) in the WWTP X area with a weight of 0,19.
