Abstract

Composting adalah sistem pengolahan limbah organik yang mengubah limbah organik dengan bantuan mikroorganisme agar menjadi kompos. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode in-vessel composting dengan menambahkan oksigen (aerobik), metode ini menggunakan tangki yang dapat memproses sampah dalam jumlah besar tanpa menghabiskan banyak ruang dan menghasilkan kompos hanya dalam beberapa minggu atau bulan yang diaduk agar sampah tercampur dengan rata. Sistem monitoring real time sangat dibutuhkan untuk mempermudah pemantauan parameter parameter yang dibutuhkan dalam pengomposan, untuk itu dibuatlah sistem monitoring temperatur, kelembapan dan oksigen pada composting reactor berbasis Programmable Device Server yang terintegrasi dengan website. Secara teknis sistem monitoring ini menggunakan 3 sensor temperatur, 3 sensor kelembapan dan 3 sensor oksigen. Data dari masing masing sensor tersebut akan diolah menggunakan mikrokontroler dan ditampilkan pada website. Hasil pengujian sensor diperoleh akurasi sensor temperatur masing masing sebesar 97.15 %, 96.99 %, 97.21 %, sensor kelembapan masing masing sebesar 96.65 %, 95.52 %, 95.71 %, sensor oksigen masing masing sebesar 97.58 %, 98.91 %, 98.76 %. Hasil dari pembacaan sensor akan di record dan dapat di unduh pada website sistem monitoring composting reactor.

Composting is an organic waste treatment system which converts organic waste using of microorganisms to become a compost. In this study using the in-vessel composting method with oxygen (aerobic), also it used a tank that can process large amounts of waste without taking up a lot of space and produces compost in just a few weeks or months which is stirred so that the waste is mixed evenly. A real time monitoring system is urgently needed to facilitate monitoring of the parameters required for composting, for this reason a temperature, humidity and oxygen monitoring system was created in the composting reactor based on a Programmable Device Server that is integrated with the website. Technically this monitoring system uses 3 temperature sensors, 3 humidity sensors and 3 oxygen sensors. Data from each of these sensors will be processed using a microcontroller and displayed on the website. The sensor test results obtained the accuracy of the temperature sensor each of 97.15 %, 96.99 %, 97.21 %, the humidity sensor each of 96.65 %, 95.52 %, 95.71 %, the oxygen sensor each of 97.58 %, 98.91 %, 98.76 %. The results of the sensor readings will be recorded and can be downloaded on the Composting Reactor monitoring system website.
