Abstract

perhitungannya dibutuhkan informasi usia, jenis kelamin, nilai
subyek laki-laki. Untuk pengembangan berikutnya diharapkan
adanya penambahan parameter penentu kelelahan.

While doing sports or exercise there are severeal rules that you
have to follow in order to avoid hurting yourself. Before you start
working out, you have to warming up your body. After warming up
your body, you may do your exercise. As important as warm up, you
have to cooling down your body before you completely stop the
exercise. In reality we often skip warm up and cool down, it is not
good for our body. We might hurting ourselves. Based on advise
from treadmill manufacturer, KETTLER, and also using Karvonen
Formula as rules a new system is created. This system controlling
speed and inclination of treadmill based on certain needs of each
person. Karvonen Formula is a formula to determine people’s
maximum and minimum heart rate values. In order to use Karvonen
Formula, several information are needed. These informations are
age, gender, heart resting value, and which exercise intensity that
user wants. While the system running, user will use 3 electrodes on
their chest. Those electrodes are connected by wire to ECG Wireless
for monitoring reason. This experiment included 15 person, 9 were
females, were showing the increasing value of heart rate while warm
up and decreasing value of heart rate while cool down. The changes
of heart rate value are stable and good. While doing this experiment,
5 out of 15 people gave up in the middle of exercise. They’re
claimed that they’re not able to finish the exercise. They were 3
females. As for the further research, this system need another
parameter to determine user’s state of fatigue.
