Abstract

Bioetanol merupakan cairan biokimia dari hasil proses
fermentasi glukosa dengan bantuan mikroorganisme. Bioetanol
umumnya masih diproduksi dari generasi pertama yaitu dari
hidrolisa molase dan bahan yang mengandung pati-patian.
Sedangkan bioetanol generasi kedua diproduksi dari bahan
lignoselulosa yang perlu dipretreatment sebelum dihidrolisa.
Proses pembuatan bioetanol lignoselulosa terdiri dari 2
variabel proses. Variabel proses tersebut adalah biomassa
dihidrolisa didahului proses pretreatment dan tanpa pretreatment
alkali. Pada tahap pretreatment, 10% w/v biomassa direfluks dengan
larutan Ca(OH)2 1 % w/v pada suhu 121 oC selama 4 jam. Pada
tahap kedua, 10% w/v biomassa dihidrolisa dengan enzim selulase
pada suhu 50 oC selama 72 jam. Biomassa dihidrolisa dengan HCl
pada suhu 120 oC selama variabel waktu 1,2,3,4 jam dan konsentrasi
0,3 N,0,6 N, 0,9 N, 1,2 N. Pada tahap terakhir yaitu tahap
fermentasi, dimana glukosa hasil hidrolisa difermentasi dengan
menambahkan yeast Saccaromyces cereviseae 0,2% dan nutrien
0,4% pada suhu kamar selama 3 hari.
Glukosa yang hilang pada proses pretreatment adalah
6,429 g/L. Kadar etanol yang optimal yaitu variabel tanpa
pretreatment dengan hidrolisa HCl 0,3 N selama 4 jam sebesar
2,2%.

Bioethanol is a biochemistry from fermentation process
of glucose uses microorganism. Bioethanol is generally produced
from first generation which it is produced from molase and etc.
and the second generation is produced from lignocellulose which
it is needed pretreatment before it is hidrolyzed.
The process of bioethanol production from lignocelullose
there are two variable. The process variable is preceded
hydrolyzed biomass pretreatment process and without alkaline
pretreatment. In the pretreatment phase, 10% w / v biomass
refluxed with a Ca (OH)2 1% w / v solution at 121 ° C for 4
hours. In the second phase, 10% w / v biomass hydrolyzed by
cellulase enzymes at a temperature 50 ° C for 72 hours. Biomass
is hydrolyzed with HCl at 120 ° C for a variable time 1,2,3,4
hours and the concentration 0.3 N, 0.6 N, 0.9 N, 1.2 N. At the last
stage of the fermentation stage, where glucose result of hydrolysis
of fermented by adding yeast Saccaromyces cereviseae 0.2% and
0.4% nutrient at room temperature for 3 days
Glucose loss in pretreatment process is 6,429 g/L.
Optimal ethanol percentage from fermentation process use
variable without pretreatment with hidrolysis HCl 0,3 N for 4
hours is 2,2 %.
