Abstract

Simulasi bending tube menggunakan metode elemen hingga telah banyak diterapkan di berbagai bidang termasuk untuk mengetahui besaran sudut springback pada proses rotary draw bending. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan simulasi bending tube untuk mengetahui pengaruh sudut bending, diameter tube, ketebalan dinding dan jenis penampang terhadap besaran sudut springback yang muncul setelah proses pelepasan gaya dilakukan. Proses analisa dan simulasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak ANSYS Release 15.0. Simulasi dilakukan dengan melakukan rotasi tube searah dengan perputaran yang dilakukan oleh bend die. Variasi tube yang digunakan adalah tube dengan outer diameter 30 mm, 40mm dan 50 mm dengan ketebalan 3 mm pada sudut 30o, 60o, 90o, 120o, 150o, dan 180o. Penelitian juga dilakukan untuk mengetahui besaran sudut springback pada tube berpenampang elips. Dari simulasi didapatkan sudut springback pada diameter 30 mm sebesar 0.865, 1.541, 2.137, 2.469, 2.744, dan 3.111. Pada diameter 40 mm didapat sudut springback sebesar 0.793, 1.398, 2.034, 2.458, 2.669, dan 2.979. Pada diameter 50 mm didapat sudut springback sebesar 0.739, 1.295, 1.885, 2.292, 2.601, dan 2.927.

Tube bending simulation using finite element method has been widely applied in various fields, including to determine the amount of springback angle on the rotary draw bending process. In this study, the simulation is conducted to determine the effect of tube bending angle, tube diameter, wall thickness tube and the type of cross-section of the magnitude of springback angle that appears after unloading occurs. Analysis and simulation is done using the software ANSYS Release 15.0. Simulations done by drawing the tube in the direction of rotation of the bend die. Tube variations used is tube with outer diameter of 30 mm, 40 mm and 50 mm with thickness of 3 mm at angles30o, 60o, 90o, 120o, 150o, and 180o and tube with outer diameter of 40 mm with thickness of 1 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm and 4 mm at an angle of 90o. Research was also conducted to determine the amount of springback angle on an elliptical tube. From the simulation, springback angle on a 30 mm diameter by 0865, 1,541, 2,137, 2,469, 2,744, and 3,111. At a diameter of 40 mm obtained springback angle of 0793, 1,398, 2,034, 2,458, 2,669, and 2,979. At a diameter of 50 mm obtained springback angle of 0739, 1,295, 1,885, 2,292, 2,601, and 2,927.
