Abstract

Pemanasan induksi elektromagnetik merupakan metode produksi crude oil yang mampu menghasilkan panas di dalam reservoir tanpa proses pembakaran. Untuk mengetahui efisiensi dari metode tersebut, perlu dilakukan pengukuran permitivitas crude oil. Penelitian ini menggunakan sensor berbasis kapasitor yang disebut IDCS. Penelitian ini menggunakan variasi konfigurasi IDCS yang meliputi lebar elektrode, lebar gap, dan jumlah unit cell. Hasil pengukuran dan perhitungan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa permitivitas crude oil mengalami penurunan ketika lebar elektrode, lebar gap, dan jumlah unit cell bertambah. Permitivitas udara dengan error terkecil yaitu 2,73 % ketika diukur menggunakan konfigurasi IDCS tipe 6 dengan spesifikasi lebar elektrode 2 mm. lebar gap 3 mm, dan jumlah unit cell 9. Hasil perhitungan permitivitas crude oil menggunakan jenis IDCS diatas diperoleh permitivitas crude oil yang diambil dari kedalaman kurang dari 1500 ft (Crude oil A) adalah 3,09, permitivitas crude oil yang diambil dari kedalaman 1500-2000 ft (Crude oil B) adalah 2,2 dan permitivitas crude oil yang diambil dari kedalaman lebih dari 2000 ft (Crude oil C) adalah 3,6. Dengan crude oil yang sama, dilakukan pula pengukuran permitivitas menggunakan VNA dengan hasil permitivitas crude oil A adalah 4,6, permitivitas crude oil B adalah 4,03, dan permitivitas crude oil C adalah 5,62. ================================================================================================================== Electromagnetic induction heating was crude oil production method that could generate heat in reservoir without burning process. To knowing the efficiency of that method, measurement of crude oil was needed This experiment used capacitor based sensor that known ad IDCS. This experiment used variation from IDCS configuration from electrode width, gap width, and total of cell unit. Measurement result and calculation resulted conclusion that crude oil permittivity was decreased when electrode width, gap width, and cell unit increased. Air permittivity with smallest error, 3,3% gathered when measured with Type 6 IDCS Configuration with specification electrode width 2 mm, gap width 3 mm, and total cell unit 9. Calculation result of crude oil permittivity with that type of IDCS that crude oil that took from depth less than 1500 ft (Crude Oil A) was 3,09, crude oil permittivity that took from depth varying from 1500 ft to 2000 ft (Crude Oil B) was 2,2, and crude oil permittivity that took from depth more than 2000 ft (Crude oil C) was 3,6. With same crude oil, permittivity measurement was done using VNA with result that crude oil A permittivity was 4,6, crude oil B permittivity was 4,03, and crude oil C permittivity was 5,62.
