Abstract

Isu lingkungan seperti emisi gas rumah kaca bersamaan dengan faktor ekonomi seperti kenaikan harga bahan bakar, pada akhirnya menuju kebutuhan untuk meminimalkan daya propulsi kapal. Pengoptimalan trim adalah salah satu metode termudah dan termurah dalam pengoptimalan performa kapal dan pengurangan konsumsi bahan bakar. Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mencari kondisi trim yang paling optimal dalam penghematan bahan bakar kapal namun tetap memenuhi kriteria stabilitas kapal. Untuk mengetahui besarnya konsumsi bahan bakar kapal perlu dilakukan perhitungan hambatan kapal. Pada tugas akhir ini perhitungan hambatan kapal dilakukan dengan software Maxsurf Resistance dan perhitungan stabilitas kapal dilakukan dengan software Maxsurf Stability. Dari perhitungan yang telah dilakukan, variasi trim yang konsumsi bahan bakarnya paling minimal trim buritan 1,27 m. Konsumsi bahan bakar pada saat trim buritan 1,27 m adalah 83,75 ton dan apabila dibandingkan dengan kondisi even keel penghematan bahan bakar yang dapat dilakukan adalah 1,79 ton atau 2,091% dalam satu kali pelayaran. Sedangkan stabilitas kapal pada saat trim buritan 1,27 m masih memenuhi kriteria stabilitas yang disyaratkan International Maritime Organization dalam Intact Stability Code Chapter 3.1 dan Chapter 4.9. ==================================================================================================
Environmental issues such as greenhouse gases emission along with economic factors such as fuel cost increasing, ultimately lead to the need of minimizing the ship propulsive power. Trim optimation is one of the easiest and cheapest methods for ship performance optimisation and fuel consumption reduction. The purpose of this thesis is to find the best trim condition to reduce the fuel consumption, but the ship stability is still accepted. To determine fuel oil consumption, the ship resistance is needed to be calculated. In this thesis, ship resistance and ship stability were analyzed by using Maxsurf Resistance and Maxsurf Stability software. From the calculations, the most minimum fuel consumption occured when ship in trim buritan 1,27 m condition. At the time, fuel consumption was 83,75 tons and when compare with fuel consumption on even keel condition was fuel consumption 85,54 tons that can saving 1,79 tons or 2,091% in one voyage. And the ship stability when trim buritan 1,27 m still accepted on ship stability criteria required by International Maritime Organization at Intact Stability Code Chapter 3.1 and Chapter 4.9.
