Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini, telah dilakukan fabrikasi dan karakterisasi directional coupler konfigurasi 3×3 susunan segitiga berbahan serat optik plastik step index multimode tipe FD-620-10 dengan panjang kupasan 35 mm, 40 mm, 45 mm, 50 mm, 55 mm, dan 60 mm menggunakan pendekatan metode fused biconical tapered (FBT). Hasil karakterisasi directional coupler menggunakan BF5R-D1-N diperoleh bahwa panjang kupasan 45 mm dengan input pada port A1 menunjukkan nilai coupling ratio CR = 0,6; 0,2; 0,2 dan excess loss Le = -7,76 dB, pada port B1 menunjukkan nilai CR = 0,2; 0,6; 0,2 dan Le = -6,76 dB, pada port C1 menunjukkan nilai CR = 0,2; 0,19; 0,61 dan Le = -6,75 dB. Directional coupler ini paling baik digunakan sebagai piranti dalam sensor. ==================================================================================== This research has been carried out the fabrication and characterization of directional coupler with 3×3 triangle configuration made of plastic optical fiber multimode step index type FD-620-10 with peeling length 35 mm, 40 mm, 45 mm, 50 mm, 55 mm, and 60 mm using fused biconical tapered (FBT) method. Characterization directional coupler using BF5R-D1-N showed that peeling length 45 mm with input on port A1 indicates that the value of coupling ratio CR = 0.6; 0.2; 0.2 and excess loss Le = -7.76 dB, on port B1 indicates that the value of CR = 0.2; 0.6; 0.2 and Le = -6.76 dB, on port C1 indicates that the value of CR = 0.2; 0.19; 0.61 and Le = -6.75 dB. This directional coupler is best used as a tool of sensor.
