Abstract

Sarana memfasilitasi segala kebutuhan belajar anak sesuai kurikulum pendidikan
Taman Kanak-Kanak dan dapat mendukung kegiatan selama masa anak-anak. Konsep
perancangan sarana belajar Taman Kanak-Kanak dipengaruhi tiga persoalan
pendidikan, yaitu pembelajaran yang cenderung berpola teacher-centered, banyaknya
jumlah siswa perkelas dan pendukung sarana belajar di ruang kelas. Ketiga persoalan
tersebut berdampak pada konsep desain sarana belajar yang cenderung konvensional
dengan pola rancangan ruang kelas tradisional. Sistem pembelajaran aktif yang
diterapkan kurang berjalan secara maksimal karena kurangnya sarana yang mendukung
sistem pembelajaran.
Perancangan Desain Sarana Belajar diharapkan dapat menunjang proses pembelajaran
anak-anak dalam hal membantu anak lebih kreatif dan terampil di dalam lingkungan
sekolah dengan menggunakan metode pembalajaran BCCT dimana anak harus aktif
dan terampil. Proses desain dimulai dengan mengumpulkan data dengan cara interview
user, dan obeservasi lapangan, Hasil pengumpulan data tersebut kemudian diolah
dengan melakukan studi dan analisa untuk mendapatkan permasalahan dan kebutuhan
sehingga menghasilkan konsep yang solutif dalam desain final.
Pada perancangan akan menghasilkan sebuah konsep desain sarana belajar yang
mampu mengedukasi anak (educative), terdapat interaksi yang menyenangkan dengan
anak (playful), membuat anak menjadi tidak mudah bosan (colorful), sesuai dengan
konfigurasi kegiatan belajar anak (collective), anak mampu memindahkan, menggeser
furniturnya sendiri (movable) serta di dukung material yang aman dan ringan (safe)

Learning tool facilitates all the learning needs of children according to educational
curriculum of kindergarten and support the activities during childhood. The concept of
designing a kindergarten learning tool influenced by three problems in education, that
is learning that tend to be patterned teacher-centered, number of students in each class
and learning tool support in the classroom. All three issues mentioned above impact on
the design concept of learning tools that tend to be conventional with traditional
classroom design pattern. Active learning system that applied didn’t run optimally
because of the lack of tools that support learning system.
Designing a Learning Tool is expected to support the learning process of children in
terms of helping children be more creative and skilled in the school environment by
using BCCT learning method which children need to be active and skilled. The design
process begins with collecting data by user interviews and field observation. Data
collection results are then processed by studying and analyzing to get the main subject
and needs, thus produce solution-based concepts in the final design.
In this design will produce a design concept learning tool, that is able to educate the
children (educative), there will be fun interaction with children (playful), make the
children not easily bored (colorful), according to the learning activities configuration
(collective), kids were able to move or shift the furniture itself (movable) and supported
by a secure and lightweight material (safe).
